Absolutely, incredible to walk on this hallowed ground. The Lexington green is the site upon which the first shots of the Revolution War were exchanged on April 19, 1775 as the British regulars advanced on Concord to destroy rebel munitions. The walk around the park is short with plaques denoting points of interest including the site of the town belfry used to alert the militiamen of the advance as well as a burial ground for remains of some of the 8 Americans who died that morning. Tour the Buckmans Tavern and try to catch their exhibit #alarmed metaphorically linking the communications our founding fathers (and mothers) used to spread the word of the "bloody massacre" and the social platforms we use today.

Was annoyed there were no indications on the green where the action happened. Would have bee helpful of there was a sign- Patriots formed here. Or a map of the area and what happened out on the green so if the building is closed you could still get a feel for what happened

Being from the West coast, I do not often have the roots of our country so clearly displayed. It was a far more emotional experience than I expected, especially in this time when we once again seem to be at a crossroads of defining ourselves as United States citizens.

Interesting stop on our bus tour. Bus tour guide gave us educational information needed.
