It was our 1st time there. My daughter and I went in for basic pedicures and dipped nails. There wasn't a big selection of colors to choose from so we ended up doing acrylic with gel polish. Everything was great during the pedicures. His wife did my daughters and he did mine. Then he told us that he was going to do our nails so she could take the next appointment, so he hoped that we weren't in a rush. We were there for 3 hours. That wasn't the worst of it though. He did my daughter's nails 1st and she had to ask him to file them more because they were very wide. She could tell he wasn't real happy about that, so she kind of let him finish and didn't say anything else. I am a bit more picky, but I had a lot more to be picky about while he was doing my nails because none of them on one hand matched the other in length or width. When he started, I told him exactly what shape I wanted, and then while he was filing them, I had to tell him that they were too wide and they needed to be more narrow as they went into the length of the nail. Then he proceeded to tell me that I just have to tell him what I want because him and I see things differently. So are told from that I needed him to file them more narrow like one of the nails was already done. I told him that I wanted them all to look just like that one. He then basically told me that I just needed to show him on every single one what I wanted him to do. So I literally had to show him that the lengths were not matching on each hand and that he needed to file the sides so that they would be more narrow. He said I've never had to do this before, and I said you mean nobody is as picky as I am or they just don't care? He said don't worry about it, we'll just get through this and then you can go your way and I can go my way. I said OK, I'm a little bit floored by this conversation we're having. He said I'm sorry I'm just tired. I said OK. I then literally had to have him file the same nail 4 times to get it the same length & width as the one on the other hand and it still wasn't quite there. I had to file it myself when I got home. I said is this your salon? He said yes it's just me and my wife. I said and how long have you been doing this? He said 27 years. I said OK. It had to be the oddest conversation I've ever had with any business owner. The only thing I could figure after that was that may be because they are in a location where there's a lot of older women, that might be their clientele, that we were a bit much for him.

It is very good. The only negative is that while Don is working on you he answers the phone.
