I got a great haircut for only $11! I don't mind going to schools at all (everyone has to learn sometime!), and Empire was great. Francesca was professional and took her time to make sure my cut was right. The instructors were courteous and encouraging of the student (I have been other places where instructors are nice to customers and horrible to students). Beauty schools do take a bit longer than standard salons because the students need to make sure they are doing everything right, so I'm not sure what all the comments on here are about them being 'too slow'. I would rather them take their time and do a great job, like they did!

I was a walk in appointment in a rush to have hair and make up done and met Dreanna who was warm, kind and polite, she had an lovely manner and strived to achieve the perfect look that I wanted . Meticulously and Conscientiously transforming my hair into luscious locks which attracted many compliments . My make up was done by Caitlin, very professional and dedicated attitude. Both lovely girls who made me feel so amazing and very pampered . Amazing staff who Empire should be really proud of! Well done girls !

I mean.... you get what you pay for. The students were really nice and I ended up getting a decent hair cut, especially considering the price. Main con is you can’t make an appointment in advance if you don’t know one of the students and if you are a walk-in you can expect to wait about an hour to be seen. Also, my haircut took forever (1.5 hours to get my hair washed and trimmed). If you’ve got the time to kill then it’s worth it.

Students close to graduating are rude, no longer interested in customer service or taking clients that are not their friends. Management has no supervisory control. Students are walking around socializing while clients wait to be seen. Waited over an hour and a half before staff acknowledged and apologized for the lack of professionalism. The soon to be graduate assigned to do my hair stood outside talking the entire time. Intermittently looking at me through the window and he was in that same spot as I walked by him on my way out!! I will never come back!!!!

Got my hair done yesterday afternoon, (first time going in afternoon) I've never been disappointed. Jazzmen did my hair last night.
She did a wonderful job & Jamel has also
done my hair too (wash n blow dry only, but I got blue highlights). my only complain is it was cold there, shouldn't be that cold.YES this is my #1 go to salon. 😁
