NOT WELCOMING AT ALL!!! No form of communication at all even when you try to. I was ignored the whole hour. Also, this guy who did my nails did not do a good job. Money wasted. Just stay away! First time here and THIS is Not Worth it!!! If I could give a ZERO star I would!!!!!

After my experience today, I will never return here. I typically go to Salon De Nail once a month for a manicure or pedicure. I always tip well and am nice to the nail technician. Somehow my behavior warranted one of the male nail technicians, Peter, hitting my head to let me know he was ready for him.
I had some time today to get a manicure and I asked if they had a long wait. They said no. I sat in the chair while Peter finished another woman’s manicure. I was playing on my phone, waiting patiently. The other lady got up once she was finished. I smiled at the nail tech and asked how his day was. He grunted and got up and smacked the side of my head and motioned for me to move chairs. I politely said, “I’ve changed my mind. Have a nice day.” I left. He’d previously done my nails and I had tipped 30% ($9 for a gel manicure tip). I’m really not sure why you would hit a customer. I’m still baffled.
There are many wonderful nail salons in Charlottesville. The location is keeping them in business since this wasn’t my first negative experience there (but by far the worst experience) and many of my friends have had unpleasant experiences as well.

I walked into this place for the first time the staff is not friendly at all they work extremely slow when I asked a simple question they looked at me with stupidity and got very aggressive and rude! I walked out of that place quick I do NOT recommend them at all with all these other nail salons around here they ought to be more friendlier as they are not the only ones in that business just FYI you have been warned!!

I have been going to this nail salon for almost a year now. I see Peter and he is great. I make sure to make an appointment everytime, or else there could be a bit of a wait. I did wait a couple of times for 15 min even with an appointment, but otherwise it has been great. The dog is friendly. Her name is Mika. If you feel they did not do a good job on your nails, tell them and even go back the next day if you have to/can. I have had a nail snap on me two days after being there only once and they of course fixed it for me at no cost. I recommend this place.

Poor service. Feet felt rougher than when I went in. Did not clean cuticles. Had unliscenced person doing my feet. Dog running around shop. Do not recommend.
