I’ve gone back and forth on this review. Part of me just wants to drop it, but the other part of me feels like reviews are what makes a person choose a salon (me) and it’s only fair to see both sides. I made an appointment to get an all over color and cut.
After getting to my appointment and asking for a ombré color (which is insanely popular right now) the stylist told me she didn’t know how to do that. I was fine with that, actually, great with that. I would MUCH rather have a stylist tell me “no” than attempt it and botch my hair.
I then just asked for a trim. She told me if she did a dry trim it would be much less, so I agreed. She dry trimmed my hair, no products used.
When it was time to pay the total was $50!!!!! $50 for a dry trim?! I paid AND added a tip, because that’s the polite thing to do.
I got home and started looking and my hair is totally uneven. The front is longer than the back. Quite literally. I had my husband look at it straight on in the back and he said “it’s supposed to be tiered, right?” No. Nope.
I’ve gone back and forth on calling and asking to get it fixed, but ultimately I decided I loved my long hair, have already lost length and will need to lose more to get it fixed and I’m just not ready to risk going back at this point.
2 stars instead of one because the stylist was INCREDIBLY nice. She was a super nice lady AND I really really appreciate her honesty on the color. That’s definitely worth something.
The docked stars are because the price for a DRY trim is outrageous, especially where it was uneven and will need to be fixed. Basically I’m $60 down the drain towards getting my hair done.
I was really excited about this cute salon too.

Fantastic staff, friendly, educated, skilled, amazingly comfortable setting. My color came out amazing, and the style is very flattering (which i desire). I'm in love.

Been going to Bill (Ricky) for over 25 years. He is amazing with color...no one ever suspects I wasn't born with this shade! Nice people...nice atmosphere.

I needed a fresh "hair stylist" start, and have found it at Rose-Dore. Bill gave me terrific cut and will be cutting my hair in the foreseeable future. The salon itself is in a converted house and has an interesting look and feel. I'm happy with my decision to try R-D!
