I'm writing this to explain Jennifer Kay's case in case you're questioning why there is a long 1-star review among the other good 5-star reviews. If you don't read Jennifer's review, then don't bother reading this explanation.
First of all, Jennifer is not a regular customer at TK Nails. She came last year twice, and felt in love with the way she got her nails done at TK. Then because of her job, she took her nails off and stayed rest for a while. This year, she came back to get a new set on, she picked the most expensive product with full hand designs, that's why it costed her $95.17 and she tipped $10 (as in the review she wrote this tip "extremely high"). Three weeks later, she called in, reported 3 nails lost, and asked for a time to come in for a FREE fix, and TK Nails didn't accept her to get in due to the following reasons:
- First of all, she was unreasonable to ask for a FREE fix after three weeks since the day she got her nails done (not one week as she wrote in her review).
- Secondly, she was always late for her appointments in the past, messing the other appointments after hers.
- Thirdly, she never collaborated with the nail tech when getting her nails done. There were so many times she kept dragging her hand up and down for phone or stuff without noticing that her nails were in processing and they might get cut if she didn't pay attention to.
- And lastly, she bothered all other customers at the same time-frame at TK Nails every time she got her nails done. She came to each customer, asked them what color she should get, and repeated those activities at least 5 times during her nail session. Some customers tried to stay away from her because of this reason.
Therefore, TK Nails had to deny Jennifer Kay for getting her service done at TK Nails. If you read her review and tend to believe what she wrote, ask yourself this question "Why is a nail salon so bad (making 3 nails fall off) but Jennifer still kept coming and called herself a 'regular customer'?"

I stopped in on a whim, Wee filled my gel nails and copied a picture off a Pinterest picture. I was amazed at how detailed the art work was. I also brought in my 16 year old Autistic son, the team at TK nails made him feel comfortable. Great place, wonderful staff! HIGHLY recommend!!

Had an awesome pedicure! Clean and reasonably priced. They did an awesome job cleaning up my feet.

I love Rose! She is awesome at her job and is a very sweet caring person. I would never go anywhere else except to see Rose at Tk very neat immaculate place.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO USE THIS NAIL SALON!! I am 42 yrs old and have been getting my nails done for probably 20 years! And in my whole life this is the 1st time I ever had to write a bad review!! I just love the town of Branford and I feel like I owe it to people to let them know. I having been coming here regularly for a few years and spending a LOT of money getting my nails done there sometimes I’m a bit indecisive about what I want because I have a disability and they know that. I have always been very nice and tip extremely well! I spent over $100 getting a fresh set of gel nails put on about a week ago and 3 OF THEM FELL OFF IN UNDER A WEEK! I called today( wasn’t even mad just wanted them fixed) to see if I could make an appointment to get them fixed and get a fill and the owner told me that she wouldn’t fix them it was my fault and they will only fix them if they fall off in the first two days! I said I would pay ( even though I felt that wasn’t right as I get gel and gel polish and 3 fell off in 3 days and it’s only been a week???) Then the owner I believe her name is Lyn also went on to say that she didn’t care if I had a disorder or not she didn’t like me and she thought I was annoying and she didn’t care if she hurt my feelings or what issues I had! That she has enough customers and doesn’t need me as one! I was soo hurt and mortified! I have never in my life seen such a RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS OWNER! And honestly she sucks the two times I let her do my nails they looked horrible!!!! The brother was really good! Please share this because it’s harder enough living with a disability without mean evil people like her putting me down and hurting my feelings!!!!!! I never in my life thought I would have to feel bad about myself 😢 and depressed when all I wanted was a nail apt!!! I know this is really long review but I think it’s important people know! I was brought up being told u always try to build people up not put them down! PLEASE SHARE THIS ANYWHERE U CAN!
