First of all, there were 3 people working, one was on the phone, one had a customer, and an older woman who was eating. No greetings!
The woman stopped eating to take my nail polish off after asking what I wanted. A customer walks in (white female) needing her eyebrows done, so the older woman instantly stops working on me and points me in the direction of the one who was on the phone. Speaking half her native tongue and English, saying she do your nails.
She comes over to do my nails saying that the older woman didn't know how to do nails. I asked for just a jel polish, didn't expect to pay $25.00 because I have never gotten it before and wasn't to the price until after (my fault for asking). Well she kept trying to sneakingly do extra stuff, when I told her I only wanted polish, she never mentioned that at $5 more, I could've just got a manicure. Seemed more concerned with her phone call....
Paid and left after 2 more customers came in and wittnessed the older woman going to work on somebody feet... didn't feel comfortable here at all

I love Chau and the ladies at Old City Nails. Since I moved to Philly, they made me feel so welcome. They do a great job with both manicures and pedicures (I usually get a regular pedi and gel mani) - both last for weeks! Chau is great to talk to and you can tell she puts pride in her business. I've never had a bad experience here. Staff are friendly, do a great job, it is clean and welcoming.

Phenomenal nail salon. I popped my toenail and it started bleeding. The nail technician went right to work treating the nail to stop the bleeding. Within a matter of minutes she was able to get it under control and stopped the bleeding. She made wearing a shoe bearable again.

I’m from out of town and desperately needed hand and feet done. This place did not let me down. Staff was very professional and the salon was very clean.if I’m ever in the city again I’m there. Thank you Chow!
