First time visit, and my nails are perfect. The woman who did them clearly takes her time and does it skillfully. Relaxing music. Very nice experience, I will be back.
Update: My nails stayed perfect the whole two weeks. I went back for do get them done again and they’re just as perfect. Definitely my new favorite place.

I was looking for a nail salon that did really good nail art, and I found it. I am very happy I decided to go there to try them out. The interior was quiet (no TV), they play tranquil music and everyone was friendly. My only downside was that I wish that they would have a better foot massage technique, but I enjoyed my self none the less. I would recommend them.

I love Magnolia Nails and Spa in the Westlake Village in Austin. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxing, and clean! Everyone who works there is pleasant and competent. I especially love Tran, Pho, and Jennie. Not only do they offer wonderful manicures and pedicures in a peaceful environment, they also offer very creative nail art. The decor is very pleasing and they have special illuminated art on the ceiling that I like a lot. There are no televisions blaring and the music is consistently serene. The equipment, work stations, and pedicure tubs are always sparkling clean and sanitary. I definitely give the people at Magnolia Nails and Spa five stars!

DO NOT GO TO MAGNOLIA NAILS. Worst experience I have ever had. I wish Yelp would allow me to give the 0 stars.
Firstly, I get my nails done about every two weeks. I get a shellac mani and then get just a color change the next week. I do this because I work as a professional and I appreciate non chip nail color. I have been to Magnolia twice now. It was near my new work and thought I would give it a shot.
The first time I went in, I was somewhat pleased. It was not terrible, but definitely was no great. The nail technician painted the shellac onto my cuticles. I thought it would peel quite quickly, but I was on my lunch break and didn't stay to complain. Well, it definitely peeled very quickly. Two nails the next day. I filed them down so I could get a little wear for my money.
I went in again today... my mistake. This time I got a mani as well as shellac. Firstly, it was the worst mani I have ever gotten. No massage, cuticles everywhere, and my fingers/nails appeared dry and uneven (and for someone who gets their nails done every two weeks, this should not be the case). Due to this, shellac was painted onto my cuticles and along rough edges, where I am sure it will peel very shortly. There are also air bubbles on two of my nail, and a short fiber on my pinkie.
I asked for them to fix it. They told me I had to come back. I know this sounds awful, but I am in that time of my life where I am lucky to relax for 2 seconds! I didn't got to lunch so I could get this done, after making an appointment so there were no issues with time. After work I have to pick up 2 kids, make dinner, clean up, work on summer class for law school, go to bed... repeat. I also have my lil sis coming to visit me this weekend and wanted to have them done so I wouldn't have to worry about it.
Regardless, when I told him that this was literally the only time I had due to my busy schedule and lunch meetings for the rest of the week, he told that "I am the only one who is in control of my schedule" and that it is not their fault if I did not have time... and that I would have to pay full price for the services. I told him that I was not trying to get anything free, but if I pay, then I should have gotten a professional manicure and shellac, and most definitely did not receive that.
He told me that if I didn't pay HE WOULD CALL THE POLICE ON ME. I started off very calm and asked politely if they could fix it, but when I told them I did not have enough time and that I was not willing to pay full price for honestly, the worst manicure I have ever had, I started getting a little upset.
He called the owner, who told me I would still have to pay and he would give me a gift certificate. This was better than calling the police on me, I will say that... but, at that point, I was very unhappy and did not want to pay anything because of the awful experience.
Because I did not want to come in there EVER AGAIN, I told him I would pay and then left. So ultimately I lost, got threatened to call the police on, got the shittiest manicure on the planet, and had to pay for it.... WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.
