I've been going to hair one for 4 years. Every time I go I feel like I am being treated like family. I can't go to any other barber shop simply because they don't pay as much attention to detail, or are as friendly as hair one is.

Linda is a GREAT barber. She is very friendly and always great to sit down with. Its nice to finally have a barber to be able to walk in and sit down and she already knows how I like my hair to be cut. She does a great job every time. She cares about her work and how your hair looks. The wait time is usually next to nothing. Great value. Best place for men's haircut in Layton in my opinion.

Good to see there are 9 five star reviews here. My fifteen year old daughter came in here to get her hair styled for her school picture. While there, she was told she should be cutting her hair because it's too long and too thick, and she was also told that the hairdresser did not like her hair. Polynesian hair is naturally thick and long, and it represents the culture, so I very much hope that this is not a case of ignorance.
When I heard of this, I called to ask for an explanation. I got an apologetic version of the same rude opinions. Along with the comments, while she was working on my daughter's hair, she said "I will have to charge you more because you have a lot of hair." Money is not the issue here but doubling down on an already bad experience was the icing on the cake.
I am not saying don't go to this place. She may have had a bad day or she may just be trying a different sales approach. I am saying, I will never send my wife or daughter to this place and I hope she can sort a few things out because I did not appreciate hearing my daughter's experience.
