I Visit Elko a few times yearly and usually stay elsewhere, but I chose Red Lion because I got a big discount after joining their player's club. I was very disappointed, so much so, that I left before spending even one night there. My first impression of the hotel, just walking throuhg the hallway to the room that it was old, faded and outdated. This idea was confirmed when I entered the room. Not shabby or dirty, mind you, just outdated and seriously in need of a remodeling. It looks like it was a good place to stay maybe 30 years ago or more. Places like this usually give me the creeps, and I have a hard time sleeping. In fact, about midnight, I heard this sort of grinding, vibrating sound and traced it to the heater. It made it impossible to sleep. I asked the desk clerk if I could check into another room. I asked if they had a more modern, updated room and she said no, they were all basically the same. By saying this, she more or less confirmed that the rooms were outdated and needing remodeling. She said the upstairs rooms were not rented as much and likely would be "better". So I tried a second story room, but this one had a "whining" noise coming out of the heater, and I knew I would not be able to sleep. So I left at 12:30 in the morning and went to the hotel I usually stay at. In conclusion, I would stay here of it were free. The casino is a different story, it is the largest casino in Elko, though not necessarily the "best". But the hotel? Forget it.

Great steakhouse. Was able to cut our steak with a butter knife. The rooms are clean and large. The beds are very comfortable. Staff in the starbucks are always very nice as was all the other staff we interacted with.

This is directed to the owners response on my review. 5 days ago. First I dont believe you are local. Otherwise you would have contacted me. Especially since I have called your casino 3 times this week. I have spoken with your hotel manager Toni. And female pit boss and headed to security Robert. As well as Ellen Bird your casino Manager. Or so they say. She informed well.....I can pass this information onto Justin our CEO and if he wishes to contact you he will. And if he doesn't well that is just too bad. You need to get over it.

Casino has some of the Older Slot Machines as well as all the Latest Games out there. Live Bands play in the Bar Area. Starbucks inside Casino. Good Value for the Money.

Good hotel rooms friendly staff and good food. But slots and table games tighter than TIGHT. Lost my shirt gambling here. Go across the street to Gold Country slots much loser there.
