Nice clean controlled environment - mostly quiet, but even when lively I've never experienced it over the top. If you want a place where you can sit wrong on a chair, with your legs hanging off or hog the sofa, this is it. The place is filled with different places to lounge, loll, read, have a game of go or chess, or study for that exam.
There are many saunas from infrared to mineral salt to mid to ice to brick to gem to one so hot they stand back 3 feet and open the door with a rope (they bake eggs inside this one! But I assure you, I've seen people come out again unscathed after entering...!)
Spas are gender separated, and there two "resting rooms" designated male or female, the rest of areas are unisex.
There are, many additional services available (I'm too cheap, have never tried) but I assure you just the getaway from the bustle is worth it.
Scout your place to sleep early, maybe bring your own big towel for a short of blanket, but the climate is so well controlled you might find you're comfortable even without any cover.
Make sure your device is charged, there are charging stations with locks but few outlets so plan accordingly.
Great food, perfect for a getaway.

Unique experience! No direction or guide and most of the area descriptions are Korean with small English print, so you must be ready to explore two floors and three different areas all on your own! The spa was a gift so I spent $41; 1 lunch tray shared by two people, a $4 face cloth and an ice fruit dessert.
Easy free shuttle on the hour from midtown West 31st right to the King Spa (no drinks or food allowed so I had to leave my $5 latte before boarding.
Once you’re checked in, make sure to take a brochure detailing the name of all 9 hot saunas. Everyone gets a “uniform” (a one-size-fits-all t-shirt and shorts and a locker-room key.) There are no spa sandals so unless you buy the $2 socks everyone is barefoot.
My friend and I changed into the uniforms and explored, first to the lounge to eat lunch. The portions were large enough to share. The building is quite large and a unique blend of hot saunas, 1 cold room, resting rooms, lots of spaces for quiet meditation or talking with friends. Lots of water stations but I still suggest carrying a water bottle around with you - you will sweat a lot! I was definitely dehydrated at the end of the day.
Can’t wait to go back!

Been a couple of times now. It's always relaxing, pleasant. Staff is generally courteous and helpful. The facility is kept pretty clean and stocked with items you might need (towels, shorts/shirt for coed section, lotion, hair gel, etc). Variety of saunas. Food is good too. Overall a great experience every time.

Very nice place to relax after a week of hard work. The saunas are good, the place is clean. The only reason I didn't give them a five star is that most of the workers don't speak or understand English. Therefore when I asked for directions I was directed to wrong place. Overall I would recommend Kings spa.

This place is AMAZING!!! They have great food and drinks and fabulous sauna rooms! Everything is clean and nice and authentic.
The reason why I don’t rate them 5 stars is their waxing service was HORRIBLE!! The Korean woman who was around 50 years old did waxing for me, she was really unprofessional! She applied wax and pull my hair without trim for me at all, I bled a lot after I got waxed there. This never happened to me at anywhere else! So just a heads up girls, please do enjoy your time there but DON’T get their waxing service!!!
