I recently had my hair highlighted somewhere else. It was a little darker than expected so I went to Ulta to see if they could lighten up just around my face. I showed pictures of the color I wanted. She put in 10 foils and then put a toner on my hair for 15 minutes. After she dried my hair, I observed the color was exactly the same except now it looked purple thanks to the toner. I paid a discounted price of 58 dollars to leave looking the exact same way as I did when I came in. I previously had a practice makeup session at Ulta for my wedding. I am glad I did the practice session because I think a 5 year old could have done a better job. Glad I went to Indulgence instead. I do think the male who works in makeup is pretty awesome! His makeup looked great and he was the most helpful and friendly person in the store. If only he did hair. I have learned my lesson about having beauty services done at Ulta. I will continue you to shop there solely for the product.

Admittedly, I made a last minute (next day) appointment but it seemed quite disorganized. I initially asked for a cut then asked if I could get accent highlights too. They called the next morning to change my appointment to accommodate both, but once I was there they only planned to highlight and not a cut. It was done OK but I won't return. My highlights don't reach the base of the hair and my cut was rushed, I didn't feel I could ask for something more to my specification because her next appointment was there waiting.
She did a decent job and it cost $126 so not terrible, but definitely not great.

This is probably the worst Ulta I’ve ever been to. I’ve literally been treated better by Taco Bell employees. Not only that, but I applied for a job here and heard nothing back for several weeks. I came in with my aunt who had a couple margaritas, to ask about the status of my application. Mind you I had not had ONE SINGLE DRINK that night. The girls that worked there avoided me. Long story short I was never able to get ahold of the manager again and I had a friend that worked there who asked the manager why I hadn’t been hired and the manager said, “she came in with her drunk friend she probably would show up to work drunk”
