Aesthetically the salon is pleasing to the senses. Very clean and well kept, and initially a welcoming and relaxing environment. However, a few moments in you will notice the underlying issues the salon has and it mainly stems from the owners treatment of employees. When you can hear the owner scold/reprimand her own employees in an unprofessional manner you can then imagine why there is such a high turnover rate on their employees.
I understand if an employee makes a mistake it should be corrected. But it should be corrected professionally and done out of sight from customers. And without such forceful confrontation.
I have seen first hand the way the owner treats her employees and then throws them under the bus to the customers by down talking about them to try and deflect her unprofessional actions.
I will not be returning or recommending this salon for a plethora of reasons, many not mentioned above. When I noticed that the employees are marked with "numbers" and are lined up almost seemingly like a sweat shop. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I can not in good conscience support a business like that.
Nail salons are a dime a dozen and there are many options within minutes that have and will treat you and your needs better.

Absolutely beautifully decorated nail/day spa. High class, spa music, no TVs, ....expected to wait 30 mins but Waited 60 minutes for the pedicure without an appointment on a Sunday. Once started, excellent job. Served wine and fruit too as part of service. Will return with an appointment to see if they honor appointments as I do not want to wait.

I have gone to Escape nail salon in Short Pump and have had wonderful experiences each time. Since moving to Midlothian, I have gone to Escape in Midlothian twice and have had the best service. My first visit was with Linda and my second visit was with Hanna. They did excellent work with my manicure and pedicure. In addition, they were lovely and friendly. I highly recommend Escape for a relaxing spa experience.

As a guy who likes pedicures, I really appreciated the atmosphere and privacy with this place. Youre not just out in the open. Also a very friendly staff.

I am a frequent customer and do love the spa and the environment, but I have had a few subpar experiences, and the worst one happened today. I arrived at 4:30PM for an appointment that I had made this morning, and I sat in the chair with my feet in the water for 35 minutes before anyone came over to start my pedicure. I would prefer to be told up front if there is going to be a wait, and then I can make the decision as to whether I want to leave or come back another time. This is the problem with this spa - you are not told how long the wait will be.
