If I could give Malibu Nails & Spa a "zero" star rating I would. This was my 2nd time going. The 1st time I got a mani/pedi. It was painful, two cuticles were cut and bleeding, but the paint job itself was decent and the salon is in a convenient location. So I decided to give the salon a 2nd try. IT WAS HORRENDOUS! The woman doing my pedicure started to scrub my heel and hoisted my foot up by grabbing my big toe! The entire weight of my leg was suddenly being supported by my left big toe which was being pulled up and to the right. Seriously?! Who in their right mind, or with any training, would yank on a person's toe like that!! It has to be a form of medieval torture. This pedi did not get better or any less painful when she started painting my toes. She kept running her fingernails under and around my toenails in such a way that I felt as if I were being sliced, and sure enough I was! Four of my toes are sliced between the nail and the quick. I assumed she had gotten paint on my skin and was trying to get it off. However, when it was all said and done, I had paint on my skin and bare spots on my toenails! My daughter got a manicure at the same time I was getting my toes tortured. The fellow who did her nails filed them unevenly causing half of her nails to be slanted to the left. He also applied only two coats of shellac polish, even messing up one nail to the point the polish was scraped off half the nail. Pretending not to notice this, he stuck her hand back under the light and ignored her when she suggested it should be redone. With only two coats, her natural nails could still be seen under the sparse polish. The guy never even applied a top coat. She attempted to ask him questions about other services offered at the salon to which he answered, "I don't know" to all of them. Are these people even licensed? Do they even work there, or were they family members brought in to make a little extra money over the summer? Clearly we will never go back and I strongly recommend that you don't either.

I will NEVER go back to this awful excuse for a nail salon. Let's start with the positives though: they have OPI and it seems clean.
Now for the list of negatives. First, its overpriced and everything is a la carte. Which is ridiculous considering that certain things with a pedicure should be standard. Secondly, the guy who did my nails was so engrossed with trying to sell the a la carte crap to me that he did an awful job start to finish: hurt me when pushing back my cuticles, awful shaping of my nails and a substandard "massage" on my legs. He also did a bad job of applying polish (didn't even put on a topcoat) and my heels are still very rough since he didn't scrub them at all.
Not to mention, this was all done with nothing to distract me since there were no magazines in site and he told me to stop playing with the chair because I might break it. Seriously? I am 25 and mature enough to not be doing anything that would break the chair...I was just trying out the different massage buttons. I could not WAIT to get out of there by the time the whole thing was over.
$26 (no tip) later, I was driving away. Will never ever return and you shouldn't either.

Please do not go here. This is the worst place ever. My daughter took me there for my birthday. When I got home I had noticed my little toe had been bleeding do to the fact the person dpoing my nails cut me up under my nail, the polish looked like a child had done it,you know when you put a coat of polish on top of it when it is still wet,well thats how it looked. I called to talk to the manager only he was not there ,they said he would call back but never did. When I called again they said they tried to call but I didn';t answer my phone. Lies ,they never tried to call as my phone didn;'t even have a missed call from them. They said all they could do for me is for me to come in and have it re done. I live 45 miles away. I asked for a refund.Thats right they don't refund ..Please i'm telling you don't go there...Its the worst ever.I mean really the manager I guess was to scared to talk to me and why don't they refund? Wished I coiuld post a picture...

Wouldn't recommend went in on September for new set $48 went back on Oct 3 for refill and cut down $ 38 on Oct 10 nails lifting and one feel off, they told me it was normal wear and would fix for $38...nails falling off after a week crazy
