The recent changes they have made are just horrible. First cutting back cosmetology hours by 300 hours but expecting them to pass a test that is very hard for most college graduates is ridiculous!! Charging them $75 every time they have to retake it is so sketchy. I would expect them all to pass by the second time since the board has to license these schools to even be accredited. I’m so disappointed in this board.

If I could give them negative stars I would. Everytime I have called them in the past 5 yrs or so they have always (minus 1 or 2 times) been extremely extremely rude. Zero help. Lazy and irritating. They won't tell you your application status, look it up, or tell you anything until they send you a letter (or not in my case) or wait 30 days later. They need new people working in the office who is willing to help. I have sealed with TN, GA and SC and did not receive this type of treatment one time and have always been able to inquire about anything I had questions with whether general or personal.

I sent off for my application to test in February never reserved an email I decided to call April 15,2019 I was told that the person that usually sent out emails got fired so they’re behind then was immediately sent an email for testing but I only had barely a month left to register to take my test and didn’t have time to study because I work full time and have children to attend to. So I had to rush and take my test with little to no time to study and I failed of course I’m devastated.
