The gondola and lifts at heavenly are poorly maintained. They are not safe to ride. Inspectors spend more time getting wined and dined than actually inspecting the safety of lifts, and reviewing maintenance records. The lift maintenance staff at heavenly has a high turn over rate, none of them are qualified, or properly trained. They are allowed to use drugs and alcohol while on the job, and performing important maintenance tasks, jobs, and inspections. Vail resorts management looks the other way to avoid paying qualified personnel to run their operation safely. Please contact vail resorts management to help me get the lift maintenance department into a safe, and reasonably run operation, before someone gets injured, or killed. Thank you.

An awesome ski resort with three main access points to get up on the mountain, California Lodge, California Gondola, and the Nevada side. A large mountain with plenty of terrain for everyone, but steep access so it's common to ride the ski lift down or gondola back on the California side. Great views on a clear day of Lake Tahoe and incredible scenery and runs.

A Heavenly agent recommended that I buy an epic day pass rather than a normal lift ticket to ski on 11/27. A week later heavenly has now delayed their opening. Now they are denying me a refund.

Been coming to Heavenly sine the mid 90's. Love it. Best ski resort around. Always a pleasure coming here and will always return. Thanx!

I have been here a few times and it always reaffirms my preference for the smaller parks. They have great runs great terrain but on my most recent visit the gondola was not running most of the runs were shut down the shuttle bus was an hour wait and the crowds were just not worth it.
