I went to this salon while on vacation. I thought the salon was nicely decorated and the staff was welcoming. I decided to get my hair colored which made me a little nervous to go with someone new. I ended up being so happy with my cut and color that Kelynda did.

I have really been debating writing this review but I recently visited this salon to have a full highlight done. I originally had a really nice balayage and just wanted to go lighter. So I went in for a consultation and was told it would be $90 plus $10 for a toner. Perfect. So I make my appointment and go in that Saturday for my highlights. It took her 2.5 hours to put all of the foils in; this striked me as way too long and I was nervous. She then tells me she's going to leave the top bits in a little longer and washes the bottom half of my hair. She asks if I'm okay having a lot of layers and I reply no because I've been growing my hair out for the past two years and I want to continue. She then informs me that I'm having some breakage (I've had my hair done plenty of times and some breakage isn't that big of a deal) so I reply okay, how much? Then she starts to panick and tells me it's a lot. Then finally she takes the top foils off my hair and we wash that out. She then tell me she wants to go ahead and cut my hair because there's so much breakage and she doesn't want to waste any product on it. So I then had to have 6 inches cut off. I was there for a total of 4.5 hours which is a ridiculous amount of time for just a full highlight first of all. I've had my hair highlight at least 50 times and never once has it taken this long; I also have never had my hair break like this before except for once when the hairstylist over-processed it completely. After all of my experiences with having my hair done I think this was close to the absolute worst. She never once apologized and she charged me full price including a hair cut I never intended to have in the first place. She even said at point that she hated this happened because she put so much time into the foils.... Well, I put almost two years of time into growing my hair out just for it all to be cut into the same length with half of the health. I'm also so unhappy with just the highlights I'm going to have them redone next week at a different salon; some of them start almost and inch away from my scalp and they're not consistent throughout my hair. I possibly just had a terrible experience but I will not be returning.
Update: Christy (manager of the salon maybe??) called today to let me know that the stylist who did my hair has "over 18 years of training" and my bad experience is due to having had prior treatments done to my hair which led to my hair breaking off and requiring it to be cut. In other words after having had a consultation prior to and being advised that she could absolutely highlight my hair, when my hair started breaking off, it was all of a sudden MY fault. Nothing to do with the fact that it took her over FOUR hours and the highlights start more than a half inch away from my scalp. Christy also recommended that I call to file my complaint rather than post it on Google. Keep the negative reviews hidden. She did offer to give me three "free" protein treatments. I declined. I'd rather not do business with someone who blames the customer rather than taking responsibility.

I had a great haircut and color by Kelynda Edwards. She really listened and did a great job fixing a prior bad haircut. I would highly recommend this lovely salon and the staff and owner are warm and welcoming!
