Best place to get your nails done! I’ve been getting my nails done at AV nails for about three years now and always leave satisfied with my gel manicure and/or pedicure. The staff is amazing and always welcoming! Highly recommend!!

Normally I do crazy acrylic nails, but I wanted to just do something simple on my natural nails this time. First time going here, new to the area. I've had my nails done a LOT of times and know some amazing artists, but again I'm new here so I don't know anyone like that yet here.
Some dude there who was smoking when I pulled up ended up doing my nails. I'm usually pretty quiet and I know I should have complained at the time so that's my fault, but I don't want anyone else to experience what I did.
He comes in and sprays what I assume is alcohol on his fingers. Doesn't use gloves but his hands are not the cleanest looking so I'm kind of grossed out. He takes off my old acrylics I had done in Texas for a wedding using one of the electric files and acetone. Never lets me wash my hands so they're so dry and gross from acetone. I tried getting up multiple times to wash them and he refused to let me. Also rips a chunk of my thumb nail off with some clippers when attempting to peel off my old acrylic nail. It starts bleeding.
He just keeps pouring alcohol over every cut. I have a high pain tolerance but I'm getting kind of sick from it. He uses one of those rectangular files with all the different sides on it and literally buffs my fingers RAW. I tried leaving because everything started burning so badly, but the owner told me to get something over it so it wouldn't hurt as much. I sit back down. Every time he cuts me he pours more alcohol, I start wincing and pulling my hands away again, and he grabs my hand and rolls his eyes, then grabs a mini fan and makes me put my hands in front of it to "stop the burning".
(I forgot to mention, at one point he goes outside to smoke again while my fingers are in acetone. Comes back and sprays his hands with alcohol to continue working on me.)
The owner ends up coming over eventually and taking me away from him after what seemed to be a heated exchange that I didn't understand. She paints my nails.
Seven of my fingers are red and burning. I've been washing them but I'm worried that I may need to go to the doctor. You can see how red they are from him buffing them when I tried getting him to stop.
Nails are also filed a bit crooked, and I have pieces of the nails that aren't holo because it wasn't done well. Also asked for black or silver and they used blue.
I'm not saying everyone in the salon is terrible, but that guy definitely is. Don't ever let him work on you, for your own health and safety.
UPDATE: I’ve been taking very good care of my fingers, they’re now scabbed over from what the guy did to them. I’m lucky I didn’t get an infection, from what I’ve been told.

I’ve been coming to AV nails for years. I ALWAYS have a great experience when Hally (pronounced like Hailey) does my nails! Super detailed oriented and they are always PERFECT! Clean shop and overall relaxed environment to top it off!

Owners stood around, argued, and got drunk during my service. When services were comeplete charged me for things I did not get like a shape change and quoted me $10more than what I was originally quoted. As for the quality of work it was fair for a new unlicensed nail tech. Unfortunately most of the girls in this shop are unlicensed according to them.

AV nails is my favorite nail place!! It’s very clean and professional. The owner, Kevin, is always very welcoming and sweet. I highly recommend trying this salon!!
