Ok, local friends, it's rare that I have a negative experience shopping locally. Unfortunately, today is that exception.
My 12 year old daughter went to Bella Nails Spa (next to Mariano's on Naper/ 75th) after school today with a friend for a big treat, excited to kick off the spring break week. Shortly into her nail service, the technician, a male, knocked the bottle of polish off the table which fell to the floor, splattering all over my daughter's white jacket hung on the provided hook under the table. Not just any jacket, but one she just received the day prior, purchased with her saved birthday gift cards. $50. I was present when it happened, immediately spoke with the owner, Tami, as the tech cleaned the mess. Tami refused to take responsibility for the damage, or consider a reimbursement for the cost of the jacket. We could provide an emailed copy of receipt for the jacket. Tami repeatedly stated her shop is not responsible for any loss or damage that may happen there. (What if a customers designer handbag, valued at far more than $50 was on the hook?) My husband returned that evening with our daughter to speak with Tami, who STILL refused any compromise. Refusal, as a business owner, to make good to a twelve year old who chose to give her shop, Bella Nails her business. All for $50. I paid $25 for the service additionally. No offer of refund for that either.
If you choose to visit Bella Nails, be warned, if that polish bottle tips, onto your lap or personal items it's entirely your problem.

They did a great job on our nails and were very helpful and accepting of bringing in a 3 year old for her to have her nails done. They put on a movie for her while we were finishing our nails.

I have found my new regular nail salon! I'm new to the area, this is the fourth place I've tried. It's clean, pleasant, and the nail technicians are thorough - I appreciate the attention to detail. Prices are reasonable too.
