Years and years later after graduating I finally paid off my student loans. And these money-hungry scumbags still have the nerve to ask me to donate more money to them. Are they kidding?!?! No, I do not work in the field I studied in (the program lost it's accreditation BTW due to mismanagement) but thank god for that. Save your money, build credit go somewhere else.
Yes, there were good things about RISD, sure. But my god I could have done better for my life in the long-term by not building up such debt. I could have gotten to where I am now a lot sooner.
I guarantee you the current president is no "caring Dumbledore-like motherly-figure", she's living very high on the hog from your fees. Do not kid yourselves, this school is VERY much for profit...but hey, they have a cool museum...

The worse place you can go for academics, summer program or any other program. They are a scam, take your money and don't care about you. If try talking to them, good luck, you will never reach anyone on the phone. Run from this place!

Loved this place. A small but very well made museum with very accurate and detailed explanation. Special appraisal should be given to its textile collection. Don't miss it!

Of course, it's one of the great design and art school;s in the world, but also fun and interesting to visit.
