AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!!! My grandmother has leukemia and was having a bad day so my Mother took her to get a manicure. My mother went to pick up her medicine while they started on my grandmother's nails. When she got back, they were charging my grandmother $30 for a manicure. When my mother questioned the price they said my grandmother had called ahead and asked for the gel manicure. Neither my mother nor grandmother called ahead for anything; they do not even know what gel manicure is!!! My mother obviously refused to pay $30 and said she would pay for a regular manicure because no one asked for the gel and they had in fact told my grandmother to pick a color out of the gel area, my grandmother not knowing the difference. So the manicurist made my grandmother soak her nails so they gel would come off. My mother was sitting next to her, waiting while she soaked. The manicurist then proceeded to tell them they need to move somewhere else while she was soaking. My mother, already upset, said that they will sit where they are until they are finished soaking because she did not want to have to make my grandmother move yet again. So the manicurist started SCRAPING the gel off of my grandmother's nails, my grandmother jerked her hand because it hurt her. My mother told the manicurist not to hurt my grandmother and he "smirkly" said "well i have to scrape the gel off" So he started again. After the gel was off my mother and grandmother left. My mother called me obviously very upset. So I called Da Vi Nails. A lady answered and I said I needed to speak to the manager. She told me he was busy, so I said " Fine, I will speak to you then." I began telling her that my mother and grandmother were in there about 30 minutes ago and had a problem." The lady then stopped me and said "oh ok, I'll get the manager" He got on the phone and I said "My mother and grandmother were in there about 30 minutes ago and there was an issue about gel." He interrupted me and said "She called ahead and asked for gel" I said " First of all don't interrupt me. Secondly, my mother and grandmother already told you that they never called ahead and asked for anything. And that they do not even know what the gel is. But I just wanted to let you know that my grandmother has leukemia and my mother had taken her there to have a good time and get her mind off of her leukemia. You completely ruined this experience for her." He then interrupted me AGAIN and started speaking OVER ME and said "She called for the gel." I then stopped him and said " You aren't even listening to me. I just told you that one of your customers that you upset has leukemia and you ruined this for her and you are still harping on the fact that you THOUGHT she was the one who called you ahead of time for the gel?! Not only did you upset her, you hurt her when you had to 'scrape the gel off'." He interrupted AGAIN and said "We do not want you all coming back here." AND HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!!!! Very very disappointing and sad that this was ruined for my grandmother.
