Not.so great the owners should start their own franchise

Jackie cut my hair reasonably well, right up until she pulled out her rickety old electric razor and sliced open my neck and ear while she didn't even finish cleaning up my neck.
Edit: called the training center per the reply and only got a pat placating response of "Well, they're just a franchise but we'll call and let them know you were dissatisfied."

This used to be my regular place for hair cut. The people working here understood what the customer needs & used to cater to it but not anymore. From last 2 - 3 times, I have seen no courtesy to understand customer needs. For instance, during my recent visit, I specifically asked the person cutting my hair to use scissors as the one who did my hair cut in my last visit completely messed it up using razors/trimmers. The response I got was razors/trimmers are easy to use & faster to get the job done. :-(. They didn't even had courtesy to ask or adjust my side burns, let alone to perform clean up/brush out the neck & back of ears after hair cut was complete. I was waiting to have that clean up done but I see him walking towards the counter to bill me up (Please note there was no other customer in the shop when I was getting a haircut). I am not sure how they are maintaining a rating of 3 and above so far. The 1 star in the rating is due to they were good before. I am never going back to this location or Great Clips again nor would I recommend this location to any one.

DO NOT go to Great Clips West Salem Oregon. Aron who works there and is apparently the store manager and district manager, even though he also told me it was a franchise so I’m not sure how that works, refused to let my mom stand by Heather while she got her hair cut. He “invited a guest to wait in the lobby as her standing there was in violation of the state board.” I have NEVER hear of this law. He claims they had a visit two weeks ago and a mother was standing behind her teenage son while he got a haircut and they told him she had to wait in the lobby as it was against state regulations. I also told him that there are federal laws that protect disabled people and that he cannot refuse to let a mother/caregiver be next to her handicapped child. To which he said she was fine the entire time. I informed him that’s she can be fine one minute and then have a meltdown the next. I also explained the type of non verbal she was meaning she can speak but she cannot express what she wants. He could care less and when he took her to my mom in the lobby after he was done, my mom said that’s not what she wanted and he replied “that’s what my client wanted.” My mom made him redo it which he actually did a decent job. He was rude and dismissive when I told him he could have a different tone when handling the situation. He said in a condescending tone that he will remember that in the future. When I asked to speak to the owner he said he’d pass along my information. So I’m sure any day I’ll be heading from them, not. Then while I was in mid sentence he HUNG UP on me. I get you don’t want yo hear a customer complaining about you. I was in retail management for 12 years I know it’s frustrating. But you NEVER hang up on a customer. You best believe I will be reporting him to several people and agencies. It’s not even necessarily about the laws but the disrespect, lack of compassion and the way he handled the situation. If I could give zero stars I would.

My mother was refused service rudely because she did not provide a home address. The two ladies that were working on 12/27/2019 at 11:am refused service to my elderly mother who happens to be visiting and did not know her Oregon Address. They both treated my mother like a second class citizen, not sure if it was due to her accent or simply didn’t want to work. There was no one there getting their hair done.
Shame on this business!!!!!!!!
