I had a great experience here. I am a first time client. Frank helped me find a color that suited me for highlights and gave me a great hair cut and tips - and he's very reasonably priced as well. 10/10 would go back there again.

Inez has allowed me to find myself. And I'm now evangelizing her. Unwilling to pay the prices, I had long let my husband cut my slightly wavy hair by just scissoring it evenly around my neck for years. When I decided I wanted more chic-ness, I tried one place that was a disaster for several months. Still willing to take a risk, I tried Spectrum.
I loved that Inez was willing to work with me on first identifying the right shape and fullness that I wanted. Then she worked with me on how much maintenance I was willing to do (none, but once I saw what my hair could look like I bought into a 5 min blow dry twice a week). Then she did a great job framing my face and being really careful to not go longer or shorter than I wanted. I felt great and finally felt like I had "found" my look. I've gotten regular compliments ever since.
I can't believe that this is me saying how happy I am to be paying $47 (including tip). It's really a good price for how I feel about myself and how my hair frames my confidence.

I was a little skeptical at first because I do not usually think of myself as a "diva" type person, but I got the only hair cut that I feel has ever really done a good job shaping my hair. This has to do with the fact that Inez actually knows how to cut curly hair. (Instead of curly hair that has been striaghtened because it is wet). Highly recommended :)

Loved this place!! As a first-time client I had Diana and she was amazing. She communicates very well! I came in with an idea of what I wanted but still had questions and she helped me come away with a haircut I LOVE. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone and will be going back next time!!

Spectrum Hair Design is the place to go. I grew up in St. Louis and went to one of those private high schools people are always asking about. I'm 42 now, have lived in the city and the county, and feel like I know this town quite well. I have been going to Frank at Spectrum Hair Design since I lived in my first apartment. He has helped me phase into different styles depending on the stage of my life- whether it was the young fun cut or the sophisticated style for my wedding. I can't tell you how often others ask me for my hairstylist's number which I think says it all.
Over the years I have recommended dozens of friends to Spectrum and they have all remained loyal customers. Frank keeps his costs as reasonable as possible yet provides not only excellent- but entertaining-service every time.
I highly recommend Spectrum- plus, it's located in the most fantastic neighborhood in town, Demun. Grab a bite down the street or visit Forest Park after your cut, color, and/or style to show off your fabulous look!
