The Local Salon is sleek and wonderful. Brittany Laine has been my stylist for over three years and is always the best!! I'd recommend the salon to anyone who wants a reasonably priced cut with the detailed touch of a real professional.

Great full service salon that I've been going to for years! Irena is awesome!!
They've got a cool vibe without being annoyingly hip about it.
The clientele is probably evenly split between men and women - with a mix of basic cuts and color services. They also are really good with curly hair.
Probably the best place in North Hollywood for people (especially guys) who want something that isn't an old school barber shop or an overly frilly salon.
Book ahead of time - especially on weekends!

This place is nice but very expressive. Got a haircut and haven't been back. I didn't really like my haircut but the person that cut it was nice. I haven't been able to find someone who can give me a haircut that I would love.

The Local, 5229 Lankershim Blvd is an absolutely amazing stylist. He has been doing my highlights and taking care of my long hair for several years now. Even if I have strayed I always return. He really is the best. Def give him a try and you won't be sorry!
