Good stay overall. We really enjoyed being able to make our own campfire along the Lake Superior shoreline. Complimentary bike use was a nice option with the trails nearby. Large yard games available outside anytime. Good location, near many desirable parks, trails, beaches, eateries, and a brewery. The prices at the on-site restaurant were a bit steep, so we ordered food from eateries in Two Harbors for two nights, and the food was fantastic. There was a discrepency with our room assignment and rate. The first desk clerk was unable to help us. When LYZ arrived that night though, she listened to us, looked through the records, and spent the time needed to get things cleared up and corrected, meeting with us the next morning. That was greatly appreciated!

What a wonderful stay! We were in the beach house for the night prior and night of our wedding and it was nothing short of romantic. Great getting ready area for the bride. Our family stayed in a cabin near the Beach House and they enjoyed their stay as well. We loved having bonfires and s’mores at night. Right on the shore. We want to go back!

The lodge was gorgeous and you could wake right up to the lake. There were chairs and a fire pit right on the lake. We went when the leaves were at their best with fall/autumn colors. We booked a cabin with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, however we got only one bathroom and they were completely booked. We couldn't get a two bathroom because of this and no refund or comp. We had booked over 6 months ago in advance for a wedding and didn't get what we wanted. Otherwise, the food was great!!!

I think the majority of what you pay for is location; being able to wake up right next to the lake is beautiful. However, the rooms are becoming dated with peeling wallpaper, the mattresses are uncomfortable with scratchy sheets and lumpy pillows. We went with a small group and one couple had an infestation of fruit flies in their room (which I also noticed in the lobby when we checked out). We booked these rooms when the hot tub, pool and restaurant was available but then governor walz nixed that. I was a bit disappointed that our room prices did not decrease to reflect the complete lack of amenities. The staff were nice and helpful and the food at the restaurant was good.

Gorgeous place to stay! Plenty of room for us all to enjoy ourselves in the 2 bedroom lakeside house. Best thing was having campfires on the beach under the stars!
