Amanda Mitchell is NOT and NEVER WAS a client of mine! Her aunt made an appointment for Amanda's daughter who is 12 years old to get a full set of acrylic nails for her birthday. After showing up 30 minutes late, I asked her if she understood that they needed to be maintained every 3 weeks. Her reply was: "This is a 1 time thing, I'm not paying to maintain them." At that point, I refused the service. If this is considered to be rude behavior then so be it, I was only looking out for the well-being of her daughter. I have a strict policy which is posted in many places in the salon that states that I reserve the right to refuse service on anyone at anytime and for any reason! . Her safety was my main concern.
I do not want the responsibility of a child ripping them off, breaking them, or picking/chewing on them and damaging their natural nails in the process. Amanda said nothing to me, told her kid "sorry", and as she got up to grab her purse and leave, I advised her that if she wanted acrylics to go somewhere else, which she apparently did. I do not want the liability of something that I do successfully on many people for many years with ZERO problems, to create a potential problem now for me/my business.
Correctly applied acrylic nails is invasive and not to be taken lightly. I will only do any service if I feel it is safe and a benefit for my customer. This was NOT the case for Amanda Mitchell or her daughter and she chose to leave mad and felt that she needed to leave me a negative review that was uncalled for.
Anyone reading this deserves to know what DID happen. I have had a 5 star rating for YEARS and I'm the only nail salon to have this in Marysville....UNTIL TODAY!!!!!

This is only 1 Star...and if there was a no-star... it would be!! I have never encountered someone so rude in my entire life at a place of business!! I honestly do not know how she keeps a business if she treat all her customers the way my daughter and I was treated!! Let me first start off by saying that I was late to the appointment because I got the times mixed up for the appointment... life’s not perfect... it happens and EVERYONE who owns a business knows this! When I arrived with my daughter I immediately apologized for the mix up. Michele did not even look up at us or greet us at all. She took a phone call and when she hung up I apologize once more! She said absolutely nothing to me, just rolled her eyes and said to my daughter in a very mean and degrading voice..”sit down “!! Really...??? I should have got up and walked away at that moment. This was our first time EVER coming to a nail salon. She said nothing to my daughter just grabbed her hand and started filing! My daughter turned to me and said “did I tell you what design I wanted?” Obviously she didn’t even feel comfortable talking to Michele!! before I could even say anything, Michele said “ you know these have to be maintained every 3 weeks don’t you”?? Again.. never have I or my daughter had this done before, so no, “I said this is going to be a one time thing and we will just let them grow out”. Michele then slammed down the file, pushed my daughters hand away and said...”then I’m not doing it. If you want that kind of service than go to one of those ASIAN places down the street. Mine is too invasive for that “!! ok... why didn’t she explain any of this to us prior to??? THERE IS A RIGHT WAY AND A WRONG WAY TO GO ABOUT A SITUATION LIKE THIS!! THIS WAS DEFINITELY THE LATER OF THE TWO!! Treat others the way you want to be treated!! Very unprofessional!! And I’ve read other bad reviews not on this site. Search yelllw pages... there are other bad reviews of Michele Camarota’s attitude toward people!! Obviously she had 5 stars on here before now because there are only 4 reviews in the past 5 YEARS POSTED!! for anyone wanting to try out something new for fun... or maybe to get your nails done once for a wedding or prom perhaps...?? DONT COME HERE! she only accepts people who are in for the long hall!!
