Where do I begin? I'm usually the person to never write reviews, but it was very necessary because I want to save another woman from a bad nail job. I went there on a Friday evening and spent over two hours in the salon. When you first walk into the nail shop it has dirty run down appearance. There are holes in the chairs, the signs for specials are handwritten, they have a dirty pink paint on the walls, and it just overall looks run down.
As a new comer I always ask the nail technician how long have they been doing nails, so I can assess their level of experience. The black woman who did my nails told me she had been doing nails for 10 years, so I was excited to see how they would turn out. When I tell that my excitement quickly dwindled when she was doing my nails...
To begin she was rushing the entire process. She put way to much glue on my nails to the point that my nails were either sticking together or to the table. She also did not have the proper tools to do my nails correctly. She brushed my hand with a paper towel instead of brush and she clipped my nails with a cuticle nail nipper. After she cut my nails, she did not take the time to measure each nail to make sure that they were the same length on both hands (crazy). Her filing technique was also horrible, because all of my nails were a different shape (I made the mistake of requesting coffin).
Then when she begin to apply the acrylic she applied it very sloppy to the point that the acrylic was uneven and I had an excessive amount of leftover acrylic underneath my nails when she was finished. When she begin to apply the color I felt a little better thinking that the color would save it, but again I was wrong. The coating that she put on my nails made the color shrivel up while drying.
Then as soon as she finished with my nails she rushed out of the door. As my nails were drying I looked at them in absolute disgust. I could not request a do over, because it was too late (930pm) and I was living the next morning for travel. When I came back from my weekend trip, I immediately took my nails off because I was so uncomfortable with how horrible they looked. I didn't even want my man looking at my hands and even he agreed that they were terrible. He said it looked like she just started out as opposed to being a 10 year nail tech. I can't even call her a nail tech, because that's how bad they looked. There was no saving them. I kept the nails on a max of 2 days, because my man reasoned with me while we were out of town.
So with all that being said, I would never recommend that you visit this salon and if you do, do not let the black woman do your nails. She is absolutely horrible. I will never visit this nail salon again.

After being a patron for over 15 months my nails were only perfect twice, I wear stiletto shaped nails but only twice I left did they actually look it and not unevenly oval. Uneven in depth and shape. Of the two times they were perfect, the second time by the end of the first week 3 of my nails broke! The owner Julie will tell you how experienced she is and then proceed to file your nails paper thin so when you tap them during normal activity they break from the back. Most of the staff are only slightly skilled or appear to be in some sort of training which I can't understand because I thought schooling was required to be a nail tech. Their technique is designed to keep your nails weak and you need to come back more often. They are short staffed with a long wait, only place I've gotten a pedi n grew a wart on my foot. I can't believe this place has such a high rating.. I'm warning you don't waste your time and money here, even T nails up the street has better quality and shorter wait time.
