I used to really like this place. I moved to Buda about a year ago and have been frequenting Sweet Nails since. Needless to say, I've given them quite a bit of my money. However, in the recent months they've lost their "touch." I'm going to start looking for somewhere else.
I went to Sweet Nails for a gel pedicure and a regular manicure. During the gel pedicure, the nail tech was rushing which is odd because I purposely went midday on a Monday and I could count the number of customers on one hand. When it came time for the massage, she spent less than a minute on each leg, I don't include foot because she never got there, and all she did was beat on my legs. Not the most pleasant "massage" ever. It's disappointing because from my experience Sweet Nails is a bit more expensive than other salons in the area, so you expect that you'll, at the very least, get a decent massage. Following the lack of massage, the nail tech painted my toes and kept setting the UV light right on top of the paint job she had done. I had to keep telling her so that it could be fixed. She also got the paint on my shins and had to remove it, which is whatever, but just goes to how little I felt like she cared about my business.
After my pedicure experience I was reluctant to get a manicure ($20 for just a basic - I can get them for $12 elsewhere), but I went ahead anyway. Same issues. She rushed, the massage was about 45 seconds on the right hand (I counted) and less on the left. Then she went to apply the clear nail polish that I asked for (I don't get color on my fingernails) and she applied it without having me wash my hands after the massage. She wiped my nails off with a hot rag - that was it. She finished, I left. That night, the clear polish started peeling off my finger in entire sheets. Not just flaking off, peeling off in a whole piece. I contemplated going back, but between the time and effort, it's not worth it.
Anyways, this place has good ratings because it used to be fantastic, in my opinion. Now, however, I'd look for something else.

I tried to get the jelly pedicure but they had run out of the jelly stuff, so when I ordered just the basic pedicure the guy tried to get me to upgrade. I said "no thank you", twice actually, and when I did he turned to talk to his friend in his native language, looked at me again and laughed. He did this two more times during the pedicure. They used toe clippers on me and then they were immediately used on my friend, not cleaned in between. Who else had they been used on?? He did give a decent massage, which is why I gave him a 1/5, but the paint job wasn't good either. They paint them so far from the cuticle that you have to have them repainted days after getting them done. Never again.

Just got back from having my nails done and they were all so pleasant. My nails look fabulous! I have been to many nail spas and have never done a review but this experience made me write one.

I don’t recommend this place for a pedicure. During the pedicure, the woman scalded my leg with hot water. When I left, I noticed one of my big toes was bleeding near the cuticle. That’s not a good way to start a vacation.

At one point I did give this Salon 4 stars until my last visit. I've been here dozens of times I have noticed favoritism but what Salon doesn't do that? I was in the chair getting my nails done and randomly the guy doing my nails stands up and greets a woman and does not come back and an older woman begins to do my nails. I wouldn't of mind but the woman that they gave me was really bad so bad that another woman stepped in and finished my nails. I really like the salon because it's clean and they have a lot of colors to choose from but I did not like the customer service I was given. I might not come back...
