I have been gong to Lyly in Bayside for nearly five years. I'm pretty patient and I understand mistakes/being human and am pretty gracious. However, after several incidences, I feel I must find a new place.
1. I had a fill done and I usually have Tyler (Lan). He wasn't available so I had someone else. She cut me repeatedly with the drill and actually went through my nail into the skin underneath. Since I had a cut THROUGH my nail into the skin below, I bled. It was painful. I said I didn't want to go through with my fill because adding acrylic to a wound wouldn't be wise.
She didn't apologize and I felt upset. Tears welled up in my eyes because of the pain. I was really hurt emotionally since I have been such a loyal customer and have always tipped very well.
2. Since Covid-19, I came back to the salon yesterday. Two African American women came in at separate time as a walk-in. She turned them down and said there wasn't any availability until after the Memorial Day weekend. Two more customers (Caucasian) came in for walk-ins and she booked them prior to Memorial Day weekend. I felt this was wrong.
3. This was the final straw. When I came in I overheard the owner say "cash or check only". I said, " I wish you would have told me this over the phone when I booked my appointment. I had my checkbook by chance so I was able to pay.
You need to appreciate your loyal customers. I will tell everyone how great you are when I'm loyal. But- I will also let others know when I have gave you several chances to make it right. I spend about $50-70/month there. You've lost my business.
