Not a fan. I went and brought my own nail polish and asked the nail tech to use two top coats and she seemed annoyed. Mind you, I had already paid AND tipped 20%. I I couldn’t understand why that would be such a burden.
And for some reason she made me put my hand in the UV lamp in between coats like it helps them dry (it doesn’t) and for the base coat she had forgotten to turn on the lamp and was once again annoyed that I asked her to turn them on.
I’ve lived in this area for 5 years and I always went to Nails Envy on Newkirk and Bergen. I won’t be going back to Happy Nails.
And my cuticles look like I painted them at home.

Went to this spot in a pinch for time because I wouldn’t be able to make it to my usual nail salon this week due to working late. I’ve lived across the street for 3 years now, and only decided to give the shop another try because I heard they changed owners, and had decent google reviews. I asked for a full gel set when I walked in, and had to soak the gel off my natural nails first. I wound up walking out, because after I repeatedly asked the tech not to use the high speed belt sander tool, he tried to use it again to remove my gel. I explained to him that tool makes my nails weak, and he replied if I was getting a full set, he’d have to use it on my natural nails. I’ve been to a lot of salons before, and I told him they’ve used the block buffer instead when I’ve made that request. I walked out, because I’m not going to ruin my natural nails again for a DECENT mani, and he got an attitude. Definitely never going back again. I’m just gonna was wait until I can make it to Cuteticles on Central Ave. It’s worth the wait!

I love this place it's way better than the old owner and I only go to David to do my nails only him he's the best!!
