I went to Atir looking to go be my nails a break from my usual gel mani. I booked an appointment about a week in advance, the guy at the front was welcoming and I got set up for my pedicure right on time! Katie did my pedi and was fabulous, they use stainless steel sinks which I’ve never seen before and it was a fun experience. They have hundreds of colors to choose from! The mani bar was super fun, it was my first time so they explained each step and the benefits for my nails. I left feeling pampered and like my nails had been taken care of!
Bonus: if you live in RVA your first mani is free!

My husband gave me a gift certificate for Valentine's day since he knows I love this place but this last visit was so disappointing. When I walked in everything was great I got asked if the water was okay and if anything hurt it all went well till it came time for the Polish. I noticed that the Polish seemed a bit thick as if it was old or drying up and when she applied it i noticed the the first coat covered the nail bed but the second one did not. I asked her to fix it and she was happy to but after looking at her work closely I noticed several of my toe nails had the same issue. I mentioned it to her and she fixed one but simply made it worse. Off to get a manicure and everything was great up on till lunch time when it seemed they were in a rush to get me out of the place and kept trying to get my hands out of the dryer, I had to tell them they had just put the dryer on. Everyone left and only two staff memebers remained. One started painting her own nails while the other one chit chatted with a client. After sitting there for a while I turned the dryer off myself and walked out. Not even a good bye or have a nice day. I said it to them they never responded. This was a first and very dissapointing
