I needed a new hair stylist here in Charlotte and I was referred to Tara by a close friend. She..is..AMAZING! She was so inviting when I first met her it was like I have known her for a while. I love what she does with my hair, she does really well on blondes (me))! Everyone in the salon is so inviting and friendly, you can really tell they have a good group of stylists there. HIGHLY recommend this salon!

Since moving to Charlotte I've never found "my person" to do my hair. My best friend finally convinced me to give Illuminate a call and book with Rob and i'm so glad I did! He listened to everything I said and helped me make sense of what it was I wanted but was also incredibly realistic. If you find someone to do your hair who says they can make a drastic change in one session for cheap, then you're going to get what you pay for. Rob educated me on the best path to follow to get my hair where I want it as far as looks, but more importantly, how to do it and maintain the hair's integrity and health. After a horrifying experience at a local cosmetology school, I took a few months to let my hair recover a bit and Rob is helping me get back to beautiful hair! I could't recommend more! (p.s. the salon itself is gorgeous!).

Have been going to Rob at Illuminate Salon for 23 years and have never had a bad haircut or color. He is the very best. I drive 3 1/2 hours to have him do my hair. The receptionists, Michelle & Ginny, work very hard to accommodate you for an appointment.
