I saw that they closed at 7pm this evening, so I called at 5:30 and asked if they could squeeze me in for a manicure. I haven’t had a day off having started a new job at an automotive high end used car dealership about 5-6 weeks prior- so I haven’t had my nails done in over a month. The lady who answered the phone informed me that they work by appointment only and were booked for the rest of the evening. I explained that I recently moved just .5 miles down the street, and it’s the first night I wasn’t working until 8-9pm. I offered to tip generously to compensate for their time, should I cause them to work later than usual. The lady on the phone rudely cut me off mid sentence and then asked me if “she should cancel the appointments with customers who planned better than I apparently do, simply because I tip well?” I was shocked by her tone and how rude she was to a potential customer. She didn’t even bother to ask if I could come the next day or at another time. It is obvious that they do not care about new customers or about their customer service skills. I called this place first because I saw it had 5 stars. Meanwhile A&T nails which is literally a 30 second walk away, told me to come right in and they would take care of me. They have a very clean salon and everyone was smiling and didn’t seem to mind me coming late. I will never give this other place my business!

I don’t think it’s fair to give this place one star because they wouldn’t accept a last-minute appointment most professional salons for nails and hair only work by appointment and will take a walk in if someone has canceled. what individuals need to realize is that these people sometimes works seven days a week so it is a huge inconvenience to get out of the salon at 8 o’clock versus 7 o’clock especially if childcare pet care other arrangements need to be made. I booked this place and started going here over four months ago and have found that the staff is very courteous and they can be accommodating. Always offered me a water in the summer. We also have to be somewhat reasonable when dealing with salons because these people have lives too. If she was rude I’ll agree on that front no one should ever be rude and dismissive to anyone.

I was looking for a new nail place and saw this on on my way to get a prescription. This is by far the best nail salon I've gone to. Great customer service, lovely facility an all around joyful experience. The owner is funny, knowledgeable, experienced and made it a pleasant experience. It's been over a week and my nails still look great. Can't wait to go back.

I love this place. The owner is wonderful. She always remembers her clients and is very friendly and welcoming. It is so refreshing to see a great woman owned business with a positive owner who really puts her heart into her work. The woman who does pedicures also does a great job and gives the best massages. I am a fan of The Nail Place and won't go anywhere else.
