I called and scheduled pickup for my old leather den furniture. Driver informed me that the furniture needed a few repairs so he declined to take it.
I know there are many families in our community that would be happy to have it, but it looks like Tri City Churches is more interested in resale and making money. I would have gladly paid them their cost of pickup if they would have given it to a needy family for free.
I posted it on Facebook marketplace for free and immediately got four requests to pick it up. After seeing the requests, I marked it as Pending, but I’m sure there would have been many more takers.
Something wrong with charity groups that no longer provide free items to the needy!
