This was my second visit. I had Linda do my nails. She’s a lovely person. The one who runs the show, on the other hand (thin tall Asian woman), did not behave so lovely when it was time to pay.
I paid with a credit card and asked her to tip Linda for my French gel manicure.she was not too happy with the amount.
The woman said I was suppose to tip Linda at least 15-20 percent. She went ahead and said that Linda stayed another hour for me to do my nails.
She kept insisting I tip her more.
I gently explained to her in plain English that it’s a courtesy to tip, not an obligation. The woman with blank stare held my credit card waiting for me to increase the tip.
I kept insisting it’s my choice of how much to tip.
In the end of the endless stares and insisting on both ends, the woman entered my payment with no tip (sorry Linda).
The tall thin woman did not say goodbye. I said goodbye to Linda and she also said goodbye.
*Linda is a sweet manicurist. The job she did on my nails want that great. That’s why I did not tip her for an extraordinary amount. I am the customer and I choose what to tip. No establishment has the right to force you to tip more.
Unfortunately I will not return.

While very accommodating , the person I believe to be the owner , although very competent at her trade , could use some " people skills " . The quality of their work , as a whole , is quite good , but seems to be a large turn over with the staff in recent months. Hope the standards don't suffer as a result.

I made an appointment here for me and my mother for a gel manicure and a pedicure. Although we had appointments mid way through doing my mothers nails she left her and started doing somebody whom she knews nails first and left my mom sitting there. Then to top it all off after being there for over 2 hours I paid and gave the women who did my manicure 5 dollars as well as the women who did my pedicure 5 dollars and as I go to walk out the door the owner yells "excuse me! You no tip!!!" In front of everybody in there! I was absolutely appalled! First of all I did tip and second of all who in the world does that in front of a bunch of people? Felt like walking in there and taking my tip back!
