The store looked great. They really have morphed into a real department store. Appliances and everything. I only visited the top floor today. They were busy with back to school. Employees on the floor.. That was new to me. I only have ever seen employees at registers before... except in lingerie. I've always loved JC Penney. Everything did seem to be quality products that I would expect.
The restroom was wonderfully clean. I had forgotten there is a hair salon back by the restrooms. They used to do free haircuts for back to school. Not sure if they still do, but that was a nice thing. Especially if you have a large family.
I will be back when I have more time. JCPenney is a great store. I didn't buy anything that day, but I did look. I was short on time.

We were looking for a new sofa. We had previously visited 4 furniture stores. David and Joy at our Hamilton Place store were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
The experience was great!

I still haven't figured out how this place stays in business but you've always seem to got good deals and you always seem to got a lot of people I appreciate the quality products you do deliver

It considered a five star because nothing really went wrong during our visit. However, I recall it being... dead? There didn't seem to be music playing, there wasn't much in the way of decor, and no staff approached us to make sure we were fisning what we needed. Granted, it was a window shopping trip, but zero interactions seems odd.

While the merchandise is good quality, and usually an affordable price, the shopping experience is absolutely TERRIBLE. You can tell the employees do not enjoy working there, and are not always very helpful. The store is unkempt and overflowing with merchandise. The dressing rooms are hot and stuffy and have no ventilation. Besides just being very drab and uninviting.
