I made an appointment and when I arrived no One looked up or even greeted me. After a 10 minute wait I got up and ask what time they expected to start on my nails. The answer was a soon as that person over there was done. I waited another five minutes and the other person was nowhere near being done so I got up and left. I called to express frustration with waiting 20 minutes with an appointment and the response. Was “ok”.
Extremely frustrating

I've been going here for a long time but I am NEVER going back. The owner of the shop is very good and so I often went there just to get my nails done with her. She is a little short and I often try to crack a joke to help bring a smile because I just thought it was a cultural thing. Plus she's hard working. Woman might just be tired, right? That's what I thought until today.
I went there today and wanted a design on one finger. She is the only one in the shop that's really good with designs. She was free so I asked for her. Without acknowledging or even looking my way, she dismissed the other employee who asked on my behalf. Then someone else starts on my nails. I was wondering what was going on because I know this lady. I come here all the time. I even know her kids from frequently coming there!
Another customer walks in and without hesitating, she answers the Customer and starts on her nails! By this time, I've asked 3x, can she do my nails because no one else can do designs and I want a design. I don't mind someone else doing my nails but I don't want to have to wait midway toswap to a design expert to do the painting. Her employee asked her again, and again, and the whole time, she is ignoring me and starts on the other customer. The lady sitting beside me was so embarrassed, she tried to crack a joke - maybe she can't hear you??? This is crazy.
This woman would not even look in my direction. By now, I'm fuming. I was being treated like dirt and I'm paying $75 for it!
Her husband, who ended up doing my nails, tried to cover up for her and said she just didn't want to do designs because she's waiting on a call from the hospital. Could she have told me that? Confused, I knew that was probably A cooked up story but I appreciated his effort to clean this debacle up all the same.
At the end of the service, I walk up to her and ask her, did I do something wrong to deserve this rudeness? It took 30 seconds of repeatedly saying hello, and for her husband to call her out on it, for her to look up and talk to me. When she finally does, she says, "you set appointment with me 3x and no show". My head wanted to explode but I manage to keep my cool.
1) This is a "all black people look alike" mistake because that never happened.
2) let's assume it did and I'm a horrible appointment keeper. I'm still a PAYING customer. I tip well, am overly polite and I am a frequent visitor. At one point I was going every 2 weeks for a Mani/pedi gel combo!!!
I proceed to school her on the points above. You have the wrong person. Look in your appointment book, prove it. Here's my name and last name. Please find where I made an appointment with you and was a no-show. Of course she didn't look. Keep in mind the whole time, I'm sitting right across from her, voice lowered so I don't attract attention because I'm not going to feed into the ghetto black girl impression she has that has given her the permission to treat me the way she treated me today. The whole time, she didn't apologize.
Needless to say I'm taking my business and my $75 + $7-$10 tip bi-weekly expense elsewhere where it is appreciated and there's good customer service. There's a nail shop every 50 steps in these parts. I'm sure I'll find a good one and get to keep my pride intact in the process.

Love the pedicures here. They massage your legs and feet forever and the post-pedi neck and back massage is also amazing. I've never had a problem with just walking in. Not sure if appointments are needed.

This place is bare bones - no TV, very little decor, doesn't use the typical nail equipment, you're staring at the wall while you get your nails done. Does have a good polish selection and is open until 7 which is why I gave it 3 stars.
