This was my 1st visit and I fell in love with Arlene who did my highlights and cut my hair. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I loved how the instructors are there to help as well. My highlights are magnificent and haircut was on point! Price is amazing. Ask for Arlene she is great!

I had the worst experience in this establishment. I literally walked out of the door in TEARS because my hair was absolutely ruined. I understand this is a school and I hold nothing against the student, she was sweet and I understand she is still learning. The instructor however is a whole other story. She had the audacity to ask me what was wrong with my hair when it was very clearly a disaster. Instead of stepping in and trying to correct it they tried telling me it looked good. I was so exasperated I couldn't even put the words together to express my anger and sadness by looking at my hair. To make matters worse, they actually expected me to pay $150 as I'm standing in front of them with TEARS rolling down my face. I managed to mumble out that I was NOT paying $150 for them to butcher my hair. They ended up charging me $98 and I was in such a hurry to walk out of there I just paid. I called them, and I'm waiting for a callback since they said they would forward my message to the salon manager, however I doubt they're going to be calling me back since they do not want to refund my money, or even give me a redo since my week is up. Now I'm going to be forced to spend hundreds on my hair in order to fix it. Do yourself a favor and go to a professional who will actually care about your hair and will make sure you walk out feeling great about yourself!

To start, the fact I have to write this review from an anonymous account because of concern the staff will treat you differently if you were to ever say a bad thing about Ogle should tell you the first thing about them. I am currently a student at Ogle and would not recommend this school to anyone. The teachers have the worst attitude, don’t know half of what they are talking about and are very lazy. They make it very clear through their attitude and demeanor they are not happy working there and don’t take it seriously like us students who PAY to learn. They play favorites, and are quick to help those that kiss up to them. They talk badly about other students behind their back to other students or teachers. While all of the points are petty, it definitely affects the experience throughout the school and makes students not want to come. The admissions people are extremely sweet and probably the only genuine staff at the school. However, once you get passed admissions and in the school, it’s a whole different story. Unfortunately I’ve learned to keep my head down and just get through it but I would’ve much rather had a better experience somewhere else. Save your money, your time, your sanity and don’t go to Ogle.

I graduated from Ogle a bit over a year ago from the cosmetology program. If you are wanting something to get ready for your license exams this place is great, and you’ll definitely be prepared for that, but if you are wanting to have actual knowledge, experience, and skills for a job, which are very of important, I would suggest to do a bit more research. The dynamic, curriculum, and rules all sound good on paper, but they don’t actually execute any fairness or diversity with your skills. All in all, my advice is, to look around to other schools before you get sucked into signing up for this one, because in my honest opinion, it isn’t worth the money you spend to not get educated properly.

I would never recommend this place, the building on the inside was so unappealing and dingy. I did not feel clean at all there, the staff were not helpful toward one another at all. Thankfully I had a lady who seemed to somehow know what she was doing but the instructors and other students never offered to help her and it took 4 hours to just wash and blow-dry my hair. I have VERY thick hair and it is a 2 person job to blow it straight. My mother went with me and her hairdresser wash not clean and smelled to high heaven, she was completely incompetent in washing and drying hair. This was a totally unprofessional experience, I would be so very disappointed if I paid to go to school here and had to learn/work in this environment. I will never go back here again to get my hair done.
