Doreen messed up my hair..the chemicals she used damaged my hair...she also said when I asked for a quote and how many foils she'd put on my hair she said she'd put 80 on my head and she actually only put 25..i counted them and then asked her for a confirmation and she confirmed 25. They claim to do the same job as they would on Newbury Street but for less money...i had a Groupon and I still ended up paying $90 which was definitely too much for the low quality chemicals she used. Don't waste your money here.
2 months later after I posted this review I was volunteering at an event and Doreen walks up to me with her child in tow and she asks me "Do you remember me?". I said that she looked familiar, but I wasn't sure. She then started to lean into me about my review above. I told her that it's her right to have her own opinion as I also do. I wrote truthfully what my experience was. She then said "We never do less than 80 foils" and then something about if I didn't like the job she did, I should have called her. In my opinion, if somebody does me wrong (especially something as delicate as my hair) I won't go and give them a second swing at me. I then said "I counted them and confirmed it with you..i didn't make it up." I then said "I do hope you feel better now that you told me how you felt about my review." We both walked our separate ways and that was that. I cannot recommend this salon.. period.

I recently started going to Emma at Allure. She is very knowledgeable about hair and products and gives great advice. Love the way she styles my hair. I will definitely be back again.

This place is awesome! I've been going to Doreen for over 10 years now. She is fantastic with color, cut and styling. She is very well trained and keeps up with new techniques in the industry. I get compliments every time I leave the salon. The staff is great as well - friendly and attentive!

Absolutely horrible. Went there in June before my wedding so I could get a great hairstyle. Picked this place because it had 4.8 stars. Had Doreen because I was told she was the best, not. She didn't do anything close to what I wanted. She put highlights instead of coloring the bottom of my hair, yanked on my head the whole time, had a migraine for 3 days after. She made my hair so dry that I had to get 5 different shampoos & conditioners so I can revive it again. Didn't happen so I had to chop it off. I had hair that was very long & thick, because of her I had to make it short & thin. Never coming back. Wish I could get my $ back.
