Favorite nail spot for either regular or gel. The regular last for at least a week and the gel lasts until my nails get too long. Once the gel bubbled but the lady fixed it without my having to ask. This meant the manicure lasted longer than normal, but it happens. I was just glad I did not have to request the fix. I can't speak to any other service. but the manicures are the highest quality and cheapest in the area.

Despite the not-so-favorable reviews, I decided to take a chance on Golden Nails because it was close-by. Luckily, I was not disappointed. I went in on a Saturday at 1pm (expecting it to be busy) but got sat right away. I got a mani/pedi ($33) and the nail tech did a wonderful job. The other employees were very polite and they have a plethora of colors to choose from. The front of the salon is clean and conservatively decorated with original artwork (although I can't speak for the back where they do waxing/massages/etc.) Also, it is located in a particularly nice part of the Morningside Heights neighborhood - if you are concerned about safety and/or nearby restaurants. Though they don't have a student discount, web research tells me that they have a $22 mani/pedi special on Mondays and Tuesdays. I am delighted with the work they did and plan to go back again.

Low end nail salon ... Felt a little like they were unsure of my request... Basic quick Mani at that this place is good for

TERRIBLE! Never go here. Highly overpriced and.
manicure lasts only 5 days.
