I usually don’t nit pick businesses but this one merits a full review. I called to see about coming in about six pm knowing they are open until 7. They said I could come now then hung up without any closure. Odd...Ok whatever. I get there and the place has feet mannequins scattered on a table which is the first thing you see when walking in. After being seated I saw a bunch of misc product piled up on shelves lining the entire back wall. I get that this is a low key salon, and I look for little low key salons because sometimes they do really quality work. This however was low key and the environment is cluttered. There were also 3 flies swarming around my head but I couldn’t do anything because my feet and hands were being worked on.w The pedi tech didn’t wear gloves. To each their own. It didn’t really bother me, but I may bother some people.
The gal who did my mani ripped off my previous dipped nails leaving me with sensivitve fingers. I got a basic manicure because several of my nails needed to heal from me pulling off the hard dipped coating, so I was surprised when they didn’t take off the dipped nails with chemicals. The tech scrimped on using adequate amounts of product for the price of the mani in the fact that she didn’t even use product on several fingers.
The tech who did my pedi was more personable and would engage with me when I initiated conversation and I’m satisfied with her work for a basic pedi. I arrived at 6:17 and was out the door by 6:53. They were in their vehicles before close of business. Definitely felt rushed while I was there. Just a head up if you pop in for services after work. They will rush you out the door.
Overall, you get what you pay for. If looking at clutter, silicone foot models, and swarming flies don’t bother you, you’ll be fine. If you go in with gel or dipped nails, save yourself the hassle and take them off at home. It will protect your nail layers and save you $5.
