I decided to try Escape Nails for the first time on August 4th, 2018 for the first time. I came because I got my nails done two weeks prior at another nail salon and needed them removed, primarily because I stubbed my right index finger the night before on August 3rd, and it was very painful, and I was worried under the nail tip and SNS powder my actual nail was broken across the middle. When I got to Escape Nails at about 11:30AM, I was seated quickly, which was great! Heidi was my nail tech. When she began removing my nails, I asked her to please be gentle with my right index finger because it was in pain from me stubbing it, and I was concerned my actual nail was cracked. I asked her several times if she thought my nail was cracked. Being as though she is the professional, and I still had residue on my nails, I personally wasn’t 100% sure through the SNS powder still on my nail. I asked her multiple times, and she kept saying not to worry, that it was fine and my finger was probably just sore. She seemed like she was belittling my concern because she didn’t focus or look at it closely. But I assumed because she was the professional, she was probably right and I shouldn’t worry. She added acrylic to my nails, and completed them, they looked great! However, as the week went on, my nail continued to hurt. It began to throb, and my entire finger began to swell. I kept chalking it up to what she said. But on Thursday 8/9, I couldn’t take the pain anymore. It impacted my work, I could barely type, it hurt to the touch. The pain was unbearable, even after taking 3 ibuprofen. So, I soaked my nail in acetone in hopes if I took it off, my finger would feel better and the swelling would go down. As I was getting the last bits of acrylic off, I noticed my actual nail was yellow in the top half, then suddenly, yellow infection began to leak out of the middle of my nail. I was incredibly upset because my nail had in fact been broken under the sns before Heidi re-did my nails. I feel like if she would’ve actually listened or cared about my concerns and looked to see if my nail was cracked, I wouldn’t have gotten my nails done that day and allowed my nail to heal, rather than have her re-do them. Instead, she rushed over my concern, told me that I was fine, and wasted my time and money. I spent over $80, not including the tip. Because of the lack of concern, or disregard, I lost out on a nail set that cost a lot of money, that should’ve lasted longer than 5 days, and endured an unnecessary amount of pain. I will not be back.

Less than pleased with my manicure today. I paid 60 bucks and left with dry knuckles because there was no massage! Asked for squared nails and got rounded little nubs.
