Took almost 6 months, 20 calls and 10 emails to get through financial assistance department.
If you qualify for financial assistance and get a bill from them I recommend to fill out all required documents and hand deliver to them, otherwise you are guaranteed to have few more white hairs on your head.
Swedish Hospital must create a new system for submitting applications online and start accepting scanned files. This way they could improve collections and revenues from the unpaid bills.
We would never ask for financial assistance if we were able to pay that bill in full.

My wife and I were blessed with a beautiful baby girl at this hospital , it is a great hospital. The doctors, nurses and medical assistance took care of my wife and our baby girl very well.
The whole staff is very friendly, thanks to 3N floor for all the support and care.
I can't remember all the names, but here's some of the great doctors and nurses that helped us: Dr Yakoub Nanjan, Dr Stacy Brown....

2 stars because the doctors and nurses we had were all very nice and professional.
Minus 3 stars because 4 months LATER the Hospital Billing department STILL cannot seem to get their act together.
The hospital billing department is an absolute JOKE.
Literally no one will EVER answer the phone.
You call when your kids finally fall asleep, no one answers and you leave a message.
They call you back 4 days later when it is convenient for THEM.
Oh by the way they will send you to collections over a $20 bill balance (what a joke) even though you have tried calling the billing department dozens of times trying to speak with someone. After hearing them insist that they have submitted the bill to insurance(insurance says they haven't received anything at all) we find out that Swedish Billing submitted bill to a completely incorrect insurance number And will NOT even admit their mistake.... but we will send you to collections.
Really smart people in charge over there...

I like the place, but the high school to college age desk people seem like they're ready to tuck tail and jump out of the nearest window at times.
Most of the doctors I've met were pretty nice, but looking at these other reviews I'm glad that I have not been disemboweled and injected with tons of fentanyl yet.

I personally was not a patient at Swedish, however my mom had surgery there twice. Had a great experience each time and everyone we met that took care of us was extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone who is seeking expert opinions and is looking for a "comfortable" stay.
