Because I work nights , I was happy to find a nail salon open late! Upon arriving this place was very busy at 930pm. After I sat down to wait, more people were flooding in. There were four staff members there and all of them were busy. After thirty minutes of waiting, they put me in a spa pedicure chair. The massages on those chairs are timed so I knew how long I was sitting in them, which was forty minutes. I was getting so frustrated with the wait that I really just wanted to get up and leave multiple times. When they finally got to me I was surprised that the cheapest pedicure was $35 because I was told over the phone that I could get one for $25. The lady doing my feet didn't speak English so she had no idea what I was saying. So I sucked it up and got the $35 deluxe pedicure which is supposed to come with an exfoliating scrub, foot mask, lotion and oil massage, a hot stone massage and callus removal. The second she touched my feet I was instantly annoyed because she rushed the whole thing. This made me take out my phone and obnoxiously time each thing she did. For waiting over an hour, this was the most rushed pedicure I've ever had. I've had pedicures that offer the same service where they take their time. Especially with everything it comes with (scrub, lotion, oil, stone massage). NO. I am not over exaggerating, each leg got 5 to 12 seconds of care during those moments . The sugar scrub she used took five seconds on each foot. She literally rubbed it all over my foot and then washed it off. The lotion and oil were no separate massages. She mixed the oil with the lotion, rushingly rubbed it over my leg and foot for 9 seconds and then threw a towel over it. I guess the luxury moment was when I got a whole twelve seconds on my right foot with the hot stone massage. And like I said, I timed all of this. So it's ridiculous to me that I'm paying $35 for someone to not even touch my feet for a whole minute. After my rushed pedicure I got a regular manicure. I was going to do gel but I realized this place wasn't going to take more of my money. I could've walked out but it was already late and I needed my nails done by the next day. The manicure was actually really good. She took her time which was a surprise for me because I was so ready to leave but she definitely did a good job cleaning up my finger nails. One thing that really turned me off was that for both my finger nail and toe nail polish, I noticed they were drying out and running low. For both bottles she squeezed what looked like a bottle of water into the nail polish and then shook it up and applied it. I've always heard about salons doing this but have never actually seen it done. So I'm really trying to see how long these nails last....
