Love getting a hair cut from Allison. Euro Coiffure has been there for years and the people that care for customers have been there a while. I'm happy to see the same faces each time I go. Though I drive from Missouri to get my hair cut by Ali, because I wouldn't want anyone else to do it.

I want to rate higher, as it was an overall positive experience, but at the rate of $30 for a wash and cut-no blow dry or style after, and a completely deflated experience re: social relaxation aspect I can't give it four stars. I felt like a transitional character rather than a personal client. They are friendly enough at the desk and on the phone, but my stylist was so stoic, so rushed looking , down to brass tacks type. I felt like I was on an assembly line more than a personal client. I tried many many times to venture out with conversation starters, quick quips, compliments of the salon, excitement over a much needed cut -I tried everything… NADA! She was not only not making an effort, which in reality is her job, rather than mine, but she also wasn't even at the very least responsive to my efforts. It was painfuly awkward. She nods, or answers shortly, then back to silence and finding a new place to put your eyes. She was nice enough in a basic decency metric, but when you decide you are willing to spend $30 for a simple cut you kind of hope for these other aspects. Overall I like the cut (framing around face, long sode bang, long layers) but it wasn't remotely special, not even up there with my top list. When I go to Tangles, in Westfield, Noel for a similar price, massages my head an extra five minutes with conditioner as if she is speaking peace and healing into my unruly mop head, she chats shares asks you questions, pulls out a razor blade at the end and does unique shaping of my long layers leaving a personal touch and a fab cut, and seems to thoroughly enjoy styling it in new ways and loves the smile on my face at the end. I've seen others at Tangles too, and while Noel is the best, I have yet to have an experience at Tangles that was deflating like that of Euro Coiffure. As hip and fresh and inviting as Euro Coiffure was (its beautiful!) it felt like a transaction not an experience. And I was not a fan that I opted to skip drying and styling and was still charged the full price. After tip I spent $37 on my one, maybe 2, haircuts per year (yes, family first) and walked away with a lack luster transactional experience looking back longingly at a Salon that otherwise has all the pieces to be a truly treasured Hair Haven located right in my back yard. There is crrtajnly the chance that it was a bad day for them, for ny stylist, but I personally dont have the funds to take a second chance on Euro Coiffure. I will be more than happy to make the 30+ minute commute to Tangles in Westfield where I know I will walk away happy.
