I used to go to this shop on occasion under the previous owners and even former location and it was great. When it moved to Jefferson, I reduced my patronage. I returned recently and acknowledge it's under new ownership. It's now black owned which is great in a city that's over 83% African American. Now in my opinion and based on my encounter, the new owner needs to take one day and work the ladies though a rigorous training. Prices need to be understand by all, steps of a pedicure/manicure need to be followed consistently with something extra if possible, any towels with polish stains or dirt get rid of, if someone is just getting a polish on toes or hands and nail filing occurs spritz with water and wipe residue before polishing....I could go on. They have a good thing if they can tighten it up. The shop looks decent enough, but to attract and retain consumers, and be able to enhance, make corrections soon!! That way they'll have money to repair chair massagers, hire security and more. Now on a funny note, when the former owners debated prices, errors, or customer orders we couldn't understand the language. Now that sistas are running the show, we hear everything, which means they need to learn how to be discreet so that we're not caught in the debate. So I may give them another chance soon. ✊

Terrible! DO NOT GO HERE! Got a gel full set. They gave me a fungus. When I returned he put something on it to help it clear up (which it did not) and refused to give me a refund. I will NEVER return.

This place was once Asian owned but now appears to be a BLACK OWNED business (all black nail techs), so I called myself supporting them. Big mistake. Experience: I waited over an hour while they serviced others who just walked in the door! They are incompetent, unprofessional, unlicensed (I presume) & act like they are paying you, to do their nails! Ambiance: Nothing is updated. Dusty. Uncomfortable chairs & people sitting on top of one another from lack of space. You won't be offered a bottle of water in this place. No relaxing music. Neighborhood: Located on the east side of Detroit so it is very run down with abandon buildings. Liquor stores & fast food joints in the surrounding area. I was willing to overlook the negatives before the new ownership, because they did good work in a timely fashion, but now they don't seem to have what it takes to run an efficient business. The improper customer service will be their downfall.

I was surprised and delighted to find out that this was a black owned nail shop, so i was happy to patronize... at first. I wanted a soak off and a full set and everything was fine until the owner started my full set. It took her like 20 mins just to apply the acrylic on one hand! She kept packing the acrylic on each finger and that alone should have been my red flag, but i decided to give her a chance. After she started on my second hand, i was REALLY getting turned off. There’s nothing worse than getting your nails done and not being satisfied with the work. I could tell from her body language that she was getting impatient after i asked her to cut my nails down shorter, like she was doing my nails for free. The acrylic was soooo thick on my nails and my thumb nails were so big and wide. I was done! After stopping her and telling her that i wasn’t happy with the way my nails looked, she was very nonchalant about trying to satisfy a paying customer. This is the reason why people are hesitant about supporting black owned businesses. Her attitude was horrible. I told her that i didn’t think i should have to pay full price because i wasn’t satisfied with the work and she told me that was MY PREROGATIVE. LOL i went to the Asians up the street to fix it and they were laughing and shaking their heads at the horrible work that had just been done to my nails. NEVER AGAIN. This shop won’t last long.
