I’ve been here a couple times as a walk in and they’ve always had me wait. I understand the booked clients always come first but I’ve waited up to 25 minutes before someone started my services. But the most recent visit I’ve had was awful. I didn’t have to wait long for my service, but the nail tech I had for my pedicure had her 2 kids with her. Her kids were loud and interrupted her several times during my service. She was also rougher on my nails and skin around my nails during my service. I haven’t had one super pleasant service here. I wouldn’t recommend.

The employees were awesome! I called for more information & the receptionist was very helpful when I walked in I was greeted appropriately, not to mention they offer beverages. The nail technician who assisted me KIM was sweet funny & took great care of me. I would DEFINITELY recommend paradise nails to friends & family. Their prices are also affordable and worth every penny!

2017-- I first wrote my review on this place about a year ago. I loved this nail salon because they were always quick, efficient and did the best job. I went today because I've been needing a manicure bad. I had called for the last two weeks requesting to have my usual nail tech; the gentlemen has told me every time I call that she isn't working that day. I thought it was quite weird to be honest because any time I have ever gone in, she's always been there. I've looked at the recent reviews people had posted and read that many of the nail techs were fed up with the new management and all gathered their stuff and walked out...I honestly didn't pay it any mind but when I walked in tonight, I was in disbelief. All the stations were empty. There were only two techs, the gentlemen who I believe is the owner and then the receptionist. They told me 15 minutes and I would be seen...15 minutes goes by and nothing. Another 5 minutes and finally the gentlemen sits me at a station and looks at my nails. Literally only had maybe 4 fingers with a LITTLE bit of polish that you could probably scrape off...but he decides he's going to soak my entire nail in acetone and let it sit on my hand for 40 minutes....40 minutes..I sat there and waited with my 4 fingers wrapped in foil soaking in acetone. I waited about an hour and 30 minutes before I was seen...I should have just left but I did not want to go another day with my nails looking the way they did. Finally, it's about 7pm and I guess she is the main lady..she sits me down at her station...she gives me a fake tip on one of my fingers which I didn't ask for then proceeds to file my nails unevenly. I felt like she definitely rushed doing my nails which I DID NOT APPRECIATE at all. At the end, I look down and all my nails are crooked, uneven, and just looks worst then when I went in. I could not believe I spent an hour and a half walking out with the ugliest nails I have ever seen. I will not return to this nail salon. I am completely disappointed. I will take my business elsewhere from now on. So for today's "experience", Paradise Nail in Mount Airy will get 1 star instead of the 5 I gave a year ago. 2016-- Despite the bad ratings, I went with my gut and scheduled an appointment. Little skeptical at first but overall 1000% satisfied with the outcome. Will no doubt go back and highly recommend this place.

I came in yesterday and requested a full set. Waited a few minutes and sat in a chair. When Kathy came over she started to yell at her coworker in their language (I guess there was an issue). Anyway..she was very rough with my fingers the whole time. She kept pulling my hand telling me to sit up in my chair. My boyfriend was on the phone speaking in his language (Jamaican) and she kept looking at him giving him dirty looks. I don’t know if it was because we were black, but I just had a very bad, uncomfortable feeling the whole time and I felt like I was a burden to them. Then when I came to the register my total was $70 for short stubby French manicure. Overpriced. I live in DC and can get it way cheaper there. I was so annoyed. Terrible service and it’s not my first time there.

I have NEVER been charged 90$ for a pedicure and nail painting before (no fake tips just PAINT!!!) the technician really didn't speak to me, and I was rushed through... my toenail tips (painted French pedi) are crooked and On top of that I was told I needed my eyebrows done when I had just gotten them done yesterday and they look perfect - this is strike two I WILL NEVER waste another cent here!
