Have been going to Grace nails Mundelein for years. Went in a few weeks ago for a no chip manicure. There was a new man working who clearly had never done a manicure before in his life. He did not know how to remove my old polish, wrapping my fingers with aluminum foil but couldn’t get the foil to stay on my fingers and every time he used the remover, he shook his hand because his cuticle was all chewed up and bloody!! He did not wait long enough for the old polish to peel off but instead used an instrument to scrap the polish and top layer of my nails off. Several times Sung had to come over and show him how to do things. He scraped so hard, I jumped once in pain and to this day my nail bed is still sore. He never cleaned up my cuticles and his polish application was thick and bubbled. The manager hid in the back room as this was going on. I was charged a full $40 for this subpar experience. I will NEVER return to Grace nails again. There are plenty of other nail places in the area, like “Nails Now” that offer much better service!!!

Grace Nails is the best salon I've ever been too. With an appointment I never have to wait. Manicures and pedicures are done efficiently and professionally. Many times I go back after three weeks because my nails have grown out not because they have chipped. The best part is the hand/arm and neck/shoulders massage. With the special Mondays - Wednesdays manicure and pedicure for $30 you can't beat it.

I have come to this salon for a few years and will never give them my business again. They do not respect appointment times and every time I make an appointment, they have taken a walk in right before me and asked me to wait. What is the point of making an appointment if they don't honor it. The staff ignores you when you raise an issue. I have always been ambivalent about the sevices, and came because of location and price. The manicures only last 2-3 days. Find a salon with better service.

Shame on you Grace nails. I live very close and have gotten quite a few pedicures here. They are as average as most nail salons. But I keep going back because the salon is clean and close to home. However, I sent my 68 year old mother here and I feel they fully took advantage of her. My mom has had gel nails since the beginning of time. She needed the old set taken off and new set on. They had very difficult time dealing with gel nails, did not have the experience to take them off, charged her extra for the difficult time they had getting them off, then charged her full price for new set (expected), but they did a poor job placing new gels. The finished product was amateur at best. The nails broke and lifted after 4 days. My mom went back and showed the owner who said she would have to come back and see the same girl who placed the nails on in 2 days. My mom went back and they complained she did not come back sooner to complain. The woman then instead of redoing the nails, or even doing a fill put glue around the base and gave mom a manicure and charged her another $25. So for her new set of nails it cost her $100 and the finished product was rough, yellow, and still lifted when she left the salon. Shame on you Grace nails, shame on you for taking advantage of an older woman who was bullied into walking out with such a poor job. Shame on you!

I have never written a bad review . That being said this was a horrible experience. They have $30 mani pedi Monday - Wednesday so I took my aunt with me and they were okay not very friendly... Then when we were getting the mani done they separated us when there was clearly two stations right next to each other. Then it was time to pay so I paid with my credit card and my aunt said she would give me cash. So I paid and I gave a $10 dollar tip for both of us.... maybe it is not a lot but it wasn't that nice I think we should be able to tip how ever much we want. So my aunt left me some money as she said she would it was $35 in cash I saw it when she put it down. On my way out I got distracted with my shoes and forgot the money. I realized I forgot the money and went back when I got there and said I left some money here they gave me the money.... Except it was $30. I said to her there was another $5 and she replied with " the $5 is tip" I said "no i gave you $10 as a tip". At this point I thought she would have been like okay I'm sorry here's your money but insted she says " no $10 is not enough of a tip the $5 is for us " .......... I didn't even know what to say..... I just looked at her and shook my head and said "okay... " the moral of the story is don't leave money around they won't give it back.
