The spa is amazing and Maria Consuelo is a life saver! All the girls are very experienced in post surgical massages and the results are incredible. They are very accommodating with appointments and there is never a long wait. I highly recommend Wax Bar for all your spa needs.

I went to this place before and they did an amazing job, I even recommended this place to other people. However, I went today for an eyebrow wax and the lady spilled wax into my hair and all over my eyebrow causing a massive hole in my eyebrow. Instead of trying to fix it the second she made the mistake, she kept working on my eyebrows letting the wax dry in my hair and on my eyebrow. They did ask what they could to make this up to me, but there is little that can be done for hole in my eyebrow. I don't think I will ever return after this, and I am bummed out because I was looking forward to my prenatal massage.

I am a licensed skin care specialist and used to be a waxer for a year, so I know hair removal. First of all the location did not look clean. My waxer was sitting in the waiting area when I arrived. She asked if I needed something, I said to wax my lower legs, and she got up and led me to a small room. The table was covered in some vinyl lining similar to a disposable table cloth that had holes in it. Over that was the standard table paper but instead of a pillow or something they had wrapped trash bags around each other to form a hardly cushioned mass under the paper. Moving on to the actual service, they use roll on wax. It's surprisingly still used in professional services for some reason, but it's an unhygienic form of waxing seeing as roller touches other people then me then more people. I didn't realize this fact or that she was going to use strips so it was very painful. She kept complaining that my hair was hard to pull out and wasn't coming out and I had hair under the skin which she had never seen before. They're called ingrown hairs just under the surface of the skin and they are actually common in people who practice waxing so I don't see why she was so shocked. It took about an hour to do my legs. At least she tried very diligently to get everything and pulled up the hair under the skin. She was also using a facial magnifying lamp so I figured she was being very thorough but there are still some hairs on my legs. In the end, she wrote on a carbon receipt lower legs charge $35 and handed it to the cashier. When the cashier rang it up she told her no it's $30, $35 is for men. The sneaky (insert expletive) tried to charge me for being a man because I have a lot of difficult-to-wax hair. I found this place very unprofessional, unsanitary, and not worth a repeat service. My quest for quality yet inexpensive wax services continues.

I had the full body scrub to exfoliate and ended with a full body massage. I found this place able to take me away to tranquility. The soothing music, the fruit infused water and friendly staff created an experience that will have me returning. I am actually going today after work. See you tonight Wax Bar Miami!
