I love coming to Avalon Nails. Hanah does my pedicures and she really does an awesome job.The wine is not a bad touch either..VERY RELAXING and hardly ever a long wait

Love Avalon Nails. The staff know me and I have never been dissatisfied with their work. I usually get a mani/pedi and my eyebrows done.

very dirty, very dusty. cobwebs everywhere. the station where I was sitting had a paper towel with someone's sunflower seeds and a open bottled water. I wanted my acrylics removed so they had me soaking in acetone for 45 mins and then barely filed my nails. Their sink was clogged where I was asked to wash my hands. Didn't offer any lotion, so yes, my hands are a peeling mess right now. I hate posting negative reviews. I barely review places at all, but damn.

I went to Avalon Nail & Spa & wanted to treat myself for my Birthday. First, I asked the Lady which greeted me for the rate of a simple eyebrows wax. She told me $8.00, next thing I realized she started with a razor. I told her that I was asking for waxing my eyebrows. Ms. Hanna (offered me to have my eyebrows tattoo for $ 35.00, I asked her, how long would it last. She says 24 hours. I told her that I wasn't interested, then she offered me to have my upper lip, chin & sides of my cheeks waxed. I asked her for how much, she told me for $ 22.00. Ms. Hanna was nice, I tipped her, then when I reached home, I realized that I had to passed behind her work with my tweezer. Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with the service & won't be back at this location but I would give me the benefit of the doubt & try the other location.

I hate to do this, however it is necessary since Avalon cannot give me a solid resolution to this issue. On May 2 2018, I went in to the salon for a take down and full set gel with tips. The set that was getting taken down was from Avalon. I have been getting my nails done here since being introduced to them in January. When taking my nails down the lady showed no care or consideration for my nails. She ripped the acrylic off so violently that it ripped my nail bed and I began to bleed. I asked her to just place an overlay on the hurt finger instead of the tip. I am not sure if she understood what I was saying because she did whatever she wanted to. Leaving on May 2 my nails were fine and I believed with the gel overlay my nail could be protected and will grow out. However, on May 8, not even a week later, the same nail (and only that nail) started to lift up. Due to finals, I wasn’t able to go get it fixed until May 10th. I did get it bandage so it wouldn’t get any worse. I went to the salon and sat down with the lady who did my nails in the first place. I attempted to explain to her my situation that she put me in a week ago. I suggested just repairing the nail to the best of her ability WITHOUT taking it off. Once again, she does whatever she feels like doing and she begins to rip off my nail in the same aggressive manor as before. Half of my nail came off. There was just skin left. She asked me who did my nails last time. I explained to her that she did a FULL SET on me not even a week ago. She called me a liar and insisted that I got my nails done else where and that it was not her fault. Visibly frustrated and trying not to cause a scene, I got up and left. I called the salon not even 5 minutes later and requested a manager. I explained it to him and he told me we saw your nail it came off. Well I know it came off but it cracked and eventually got to this point because of one of your technicians. He proceeds to become argumentative stated that I did not get my nails done and I came in the salon with my nails like that. No. I asked for his name for my records and he REFUSES and tells me it isn’t his problem. I called back again, still greeted by the same rude man on the phone. Meanwhile the lady who did my nails is carry on, yelling in the background. I requested she call me back and left my mothers phone number with her because at this point, I am overwhelmed. I have yet to receive a call. This place is so unprofessional. They do not take credibility for their work as well as they do not offer resolution to try and keep a customer. If you really care about your nails I would not recommend this salon to my worse enemy! Terrible service, poor communication. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!
